First of all the hosts Luciano and his wife Laura are exceptional hosts.Kind friendly and make you feel welcomed. Ready to help with anything you ask . Wonderful place for vacation . The room was very comfortable beds were comfy. Very clean and well kept. Breakfast was very good. Nice variety. The day we left we had to leave very early in the morning and could not have breakfast, so Laura prepared for us a thermos with coffee and a plate with Laura's great home made cookies. A secluded farm literally in the middle of nowhere - well, in the middle of a field. Wonderful hosts, truly excellent breakfast, a large and pleasant pool. My unit was spacious enough and everything was functional, including a small fridge. There is a row of parking spaces right outside the gate, but I was also able to enter the gate and drive right up to the unit to unload (and then load) the suitcase. Siena is a short drive away, so is Chiantigiana - the Chianti Road (that's how I arrived) - and do ask Luciano and Laura for dinner recommendations: they recommended two restaurants in nearby villages to me, about 5 minutes' drive away each - one was excellent, the other was nothing short of fabulous, and as a bonus both were local spots - not touristy at all.

Not reall a matter of liking or disliking - you must have a car and it would be challenging without a GPS even though there are signs along the unpaved road through the fields that leads to the farm. Your car will be quite dusty after a single drive.

Luciano and Laura were fantastic. We felt at home after 1 day and were sad to leave. Breakfast was included, and there was amazing food. Eggs came from their own chickens, Laura made a different home made cake/muffins/insert delicious here every day - even today when I was alone(I left a day after my friends) she made an apple strudel which was still smoking hot. We will definitely come back - location is amazing and the ambience is fantastic.

We were searching for a peaceful retreat amidst the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The owners warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home. Everything was perfect, including the delicious homemade breakfast cakes. We were treated to a fantastic dinner buffet, which is organized periodically, showcasing the passion and attention to detail of the hosts and their love for good food. Here the sun really sings.

Great value for money with incredibly hospitable hosts Luciano and Laura! The location is off-road enough that you’d feel that it is idyllic and peaceful but not too remote that you’d have to drive a long way to places of attractions in the region. Wake up to the sounds of birds and a breakfast spread - ask Laura about her daily made cakes and fried omelette! The toilets had full amenities, hair dryer and they’re happy to change your towels daily if you request. We loved walking the grounds and playing with their dogs and cats.

The bed was quite hard and stiff

Perfect base for traveling all around Toscany Exceptional breakfast (we enjoyed the local sweets the most) Very dog-friendly place, the owner has 2 very nice retriever dogs Lovely hosts who speak very good English Pool is basically open 24 hours a day if you respect other people at the property

The place was full of insects at the end of August, since there were no nets in windows it was impossible to sleep with a window open The wifi did not work well for most of our stay

Il Canto Del Sole offers a pastural setting in the Tuscan country side. A central location offers easy access to the entire region. The hosts are exceptional, offering a delectable farm to table breakfast prepared fresh daily. Their home and guest rooms are beautiful.

Our stay was perfect.......!

The hosts Luciano and Laura were just amazing. We were 8 of us and just before the trip, one of the persons had an accident because of which we could not rent a car. Luciano didn’t let us have any issues , be it to take us to dinner or even a couple of days of sightseeing. We also had multiple vegetarian people amongst us and Laura took extra care to ensure the breakfast served everyone’s needs. Overall, the hosts made this leg the best part of our Italy holiday

A group of 10 of us recently stayed at Il Canto del Sole and the accommodation and hospitality of the hosts could not have been more perfect for what we wanted. The accommodation is set in a beautiful, remote location but the owner was more than willing to regularly drive us around and maintained his good humour throughout - even with us being 10 rowdy Brits enjoying wedding festivities to the max. Thank you from us all.

Wonderful stay at this place. Good location, superb 16th century building, very quiet. Large room, delicious breakfast and friendly owners. Laura and Luciano are the perfect hosts and the food is definitely out of this world. We had pasta, lasagna, tiramisú and other local specialties. 1000% recommended.

The beds are not the most comfortable ones - the mattresses were a bit too hard for our taste.
