Hotel San Rocco

The pool was excellent and quiet. There's a beautiful bay where you can swim in the sea. The room was very comfortable with air conditioning. The breakfast was fab. Nice quiet location with access to busy Trieste and the train to Venice. Trains and buses very well subsidised.

Muggia has fabulous seafood and the local restaurants tend to specialise in this. If you're not into fish, you may struggle a bit. Transport to Trieste by boat or bus stops early (between 19:00-20:00) and it's a bit far for a taxi.

The lady at the reception was very friendly, helpful and supportive. (Arrived later in the evening and parking was tricky) Nice breakfast with the possibility of taking it on the sunny terase which gives a good view on the port.

It's not clear on google maps where exactly the hotel is. Anyone who goes for the first time should know there is a barrier that have to be crossed (yes, you take that ticket - and this will be validated at the reception) and then continue until you find the parking. Not all the parking places are belonging to the hotel, but at the reception you will get this information.

Free parking, view from the little balcony, spaceous room. We were touched to find a bottle of prosecco on the ice and fruit in our room upon arrival. The hotel is situated in a marina and the view is lovely. Breakfast selecriin is very good.

The bed was too soft. Shower/bath very narrow, not suitable for taller/corpulent people. We are not big or wide and still found it difficult to manage. The hotel of this category should have more toileteries, not just a shower gel. No water glasses in the room and plastic cups in the bathroom. Our second day, the glasses were not washed and the remains of fruit left on the plate which made me wonder what is included in "cleaning"after our poodle that they charged 20 euro for.

This was a lovely hotel with a good storage for the bicycles and great breakfast. The view from the room was great. It was a lovely stay. Also, I assume there were not a lot of guests, so it was not possible to have any food in the hotel, but there is a lovely restaurant just nearby in the marina. I really like that shampoo, body lotion and soap were packaged in the big containers, so there is a bit less non-recyclable plastic around.

This was a lovely hotel, however, the location is not properly directed. We were on the bicycles, so somehow we were able to find a way to get in, but it may not be so easy for the people coming by car. Also, there was no amenities in the bathroom, shower cap, hair conditioner, etc, these were missing. If this was due to environmental concerns, it is understandable, but still, maybe a big bottle of hair conditioner which can be refilled would be a lovely amenity to add.

Nice hotel in the marina, a great breakfast on the sunny terrace, friendly staff, free bike rental, shaded parking in the garage. In the month of June, the weather was not too hot and there were a lot of fragrant flowers in the area.

In the description of the room are listed slippers, toiletries, and a radio, but I did not find these in the room. The provider must renew the description of the rooms. There is only one chair on the balcony.

i would welcome more information about parking beforehand, also rooms are faced to the very nosiy road with poor sound isolation. as for the facilities, we would welcome some more things on the balcony, mostly hanger for drying clothes and also some chair and table. balcony is therefore useless.

Breakfast terrace with view on bay and landscape of Trieste is a great place to start a day.Balcony in the room good to have a morning coffee and sipping fresh sea-breeze. Modern, clean, with spacious inside design.

Staff is a bit "morose" - the contact in email to hotel was more kind, promising.... It his not easy to find the way to hotel entrance and reception if arrive in the evening/night ( no clear signs )

Quite Central located, not too far away from Trieste. Super friendly stuff, helps everywhere possible. breakfast wars delicious and abundant on everything we liked. rooms are available with a accessible shower and the pool is as well accessible even tho located on the first floor.

almost every room got a balcony except the handicapped room. It almost looked like a broom chamber in size, come on! The interior was a bit old-fashioned.

Amazing breakfast. Everything you could want. Rooms were lovely. Everything was nice and quiet. It was also an amazing location by the port and ideal after we finished a cycle ride

Pillows were inadequate for a hotel. If we had realised earlier we would have asked reception but we were late in. However bed was very good otherwise. Also disappointed pool not open. I understand why. Its summer opening only but should be made clear before booking.

We’ve stayed here before and come back as we love it here. Perfect location for Muggia which is just a short walk into town. The hotel setting is at the beautiful Marina with some lovely bars and restaurants!

Only thing I didn’t like this time was our room was directly below the breakfast room so we had a 6am wake up call every morning hearing them set up for that! Don’t let that put you off just don’t stay in rooms 330-332!
