Domina Milano Fiera

Yesterday, I brought my family to Italy from Switzerland. I booked this hotel on Booking.com and paid for it. When I arrived at the front desk to check in, the female staff asked me to give her my bank card again and record my card number, saying that it would be a guarantee in case of an accident. I really didn't understand what she did, it made no sense. My daughter and I are both Spanish nationals. My wife has a tarjeta comunitaria, which is an ID card for direct relatives of EU citizens. The female staff at the front desk actually said that my wife’s ID card cannot be used, and still asked for a passport. This is very strange. Unprofessional and doesn't understand any EU laws. Everything about this hotel is good, but the service of this female staff member makes me very angry.

Breakfast is amazing with lots of choice and fresh products. Room for the price the quality is ok and the rooms are very clean. Location is perfect super close to the fair. The hotel offers a shuttle service in the morning and back from the fair in the evening at a cost of 6 eur. The shuttle takes you 15 minutes to the fair. The restaurant of the hotel also offers nice food and a decent wine menu at very affordable prices.

- rooms were too hot, sometimes the aircon works, sometimes not. The temperature in my room went up to 26 degrees at night. hard to sleep - wifi is horrible with very slow speeds. Better of getting an e-sim with lots of data and use your phone as a hotspot. - noise insulation of the rooms is poor, you can hear people walking in the next room, and when someone in the hallway closes their door, the door of our room shakes and rattles - the nearest train station is 900m away, and the latest train is not very late in the evening. So after a nice evening in the city, you have to get a taxi to get back to the hotel - staff at reception not always in a good mood, but offered the help needed.

The hotel itself is very clean, and our room was spacious and bright. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spotless, and it was very comfortable. The area that the hotel is located in is very quiet, and safe but not central. The reception staff were also helpful with booking taxis for us due to the train strike in Italy.

The closest train station to the hotel is 'Novate Milanese' which is a very run-down station, about 15 minutes on foot from the hotel. The walk to the hotel is fine in cool weather, however during the heatwave it was awful. There are no uber/taxi services around, so we had to ask the hotel for assistance. We had dinner on 1 night in the hotel's Expo Restaurant. The prices themselves were in line with what other restaurants in Central Milan charge, but the quality was not great and the servers were very abrupt. I would recommend this hotel if you have a rental car and are not planning on spending a lot of time at the hotel itself.

Breakfast and dinner were excelent. Good outside free parking. Staff were kind. The room was taller than usual. The TV had netflix - great. Good distance to Milan - 15 min walk to the train station and than 15 min drive to Milan.

There was no conditioner for hair. There was dirt/dust on the floor. When we arrived we had lot of towels (for 2 persons) but the second day they removed them so that there were towels for only one person. The hair dryer was not powerful enough.

Spacious room, very clean, big window in the room, big and comfortable bed, comfortable pillows, nice bathroom with comfortable shower and bidet, good breakfast with big variety of cakes, donuts and croissants

Staff in the restaurant during breakfast was working very slow, the were no bread, no dishes from eggs, even no cups for cappuccino when we came, we had to ask for everything. About 40mins to Milan center

Very nice facilities, quick check-in, excellent size and quality triple room, open free parking, two big flat screen TVs, very nice breakfast. Big Super Market next door.

Sleeping on the Sofa bed was a nightmare-metal frame you can feel, mattress very thin and old... Informed the reception the next day to hear "We know but there's nothing we can do!!!" Far away from the city center, 35mins drive to Duomo w/out traffic Requested for an extra hour check-out time on a low-demand day (Jan 1st) and was asked for 50 Euros extra charge !!!

Free parking in front of the hotel, parking in garage is 12€/day. The staff were very polite & courteous. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There is a big market next to the hotel.

Very poor sound isolation of the rooms. You can hear everything. The location is very far from the city center and for returning in the late night hours is problem, because there is no available public transportation. You need to return with taxi, which is very expensive

Room was very clean. Cleaning staff is doing really great job. Room/rest room is big. Beds are very comfy. You have 900 meters walk to suburban train which take you to Milan Center in 15 minutes. It also easy to get from there to Como Lake (train to Saronno).

A/C is working only in some hours (as I remember after 5 pm till 8 pm). Sometimes it is very warm in the room. I think the reason is electricity saving regulations, so it is not the fault of hotel. The hair dryer has no power.

Good location for touring northern Italy with a hire car as there's free parking at the hotel, it's close to Malpensa airport and also close to Lake Maggiore, Alfa Romeo museum etc. Easy train journey into the centre of Milan for sightseeing. Food was very good in the hotel restaurant - dinner exceeded our expectations. Hotel itself was clean, pleasant and spacious and room was very good for a hotel of this type.

Obviously located close to major road links, the airport and to the Milan Expo centre this is not a vicinity that offers much in the way of local 'street life'. If you want to browse local shops, cafés and eateries then this is not the location for you. But if you're looking for a base for a car-based tour for a few days, this hotel ticks a lot of boxes.

It is a quiet place far from the noise of the city, but still within reach, just a short train ride from the center of Milan. The hotel is modern and new, the rooms are big with a 2m wide bed.

Although the bed was huge, it was not that comfortable. It was soft and springy, I was afraid, I'll become seasick. I never imagined bad espresso exists in Italy, we found it... The restaurant has limited options for special dietary needs, so we had to skip breakfast (there is a supermarket next door).
