Hotel Morlacchi

- kind, friendly and helpful staff, with very good English, provided us with all the information we needed (they didn't just give us information, they even offered us an umbrella when it rained) - very good cleanliness in the room - good breakfast, according to Italian standards - excellent location, very close to the center and at an acceptable distance from the minimetro and the bus to the airport (10-15 min.)

- quite a few steps to our room (the lucky ones can stay on the lower floors) - they were not a problem for us We have to be fair: the hotel is very good for 2 stars, we don't have to compare it with a 4 star hotel - we knew where we were going to stay and we were satisfied.

Very good location with everything within easy reach. (Research the Perugia mini-metro online before travelling, especially if you're arriving by train.) The room was spacious, comfortable and peaceful. Plentiful hot water for showering, and good wi-fi. Breakfast was more than ample. Best of all was the family who own the property, very easy to deal with and always on hand to assist in any way. Michele was a delight to talk to and made us feel very much at home. Would definitely stay here again if returning to Perugia.

Flight of steps up into the property could be a challenge for elderly/infirm people (like Perugia generally with its steep streets) especially with heavy luggage, though Michele is more than happy to help with this.

The keepers of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. I liked our little morning talks :) The breakfast is a nice and perfect "Italian" breakfast (bread, cornetto, marmelade, coffee, juice and water); the rooms are small, but have individual flair - so has the old house itself! Situated next to the university and very near the city center - what a nice neighbourhood. And: the old dog that welcomes you wagging its tail makes you really feel like home!

Family run hotel just a 3 minute walk from the main square (Piazza IV novembre) and Corso Vannucci, in a quiet neighbourhood at night. The hospitality shown by the hoteliers is unparalleled,making you feel at home and ready to offer advice regarding tourist attractions in Perugia and cities nearby. Michele speaks excellent English, which is a bonus. Decent sized room for a couple. Continental breakfast.

Could the air conditioner temperature in the room be regulated by the lodger?

Pros: - the staff is amazing 100/10; the whole family was so nice, helpful and always smiling - they speak english and you can pay with card - the location is great; a short walk to almost everything - the cleaning was spot on - the hotel has an authentic vintage vibe, which we loved, especially the breakfast room (it looks like a museum) - the water pressure is really good with warm water without any problems - aldough the bed is on the hard side we sleept so comfortable (we loved the big pillows, felt like sleeping between clouds) - the room was warm even though outside was quite cold and windy - the family dog

Cons: - there is no soundproof so you can hear a lot of noise from the hallway or the rooms nearby (bring a pair of earplugs) - there is no AC in the room, it might get quite hot in the summer (for us it wasn’t a problem because outside it was really cold) - the breakfast is good, but way too simple (the typical italin one with just coffee and something sweet)

The albergo is in the center of the town, only footsteps away from all the attractions. It is run by friendly and helpful staff.

The breakfast is, well, very italian and thus basic. Don't expect a buffet. The downside of being in the city center is that you get noise from the streets if you sleep with open windows, and there are many students in Perugia who don't stop partying at 11pm. If you intend to go there by car, you will curse the narrow streets and turns if your car is larger than average. SUVs will have a problem, small buses and campers probably don't have a prayer. In that case check with the staff beforehand.

Very lovely house. The family who own it are all so friendly and helpful, even Jessie the dog. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed practising our Italian chatting with the proprietors and other guests. Made to feel like family. Great location for exploring Perugia and close to some good restaurants and bars.

Stairs were NOT a problem for us but might be for guests with mobility issues or heavy baggage.

Free parking in front of the building. Super friendly and helpful hosts/owners. The breakfast was better than most italian type breakfasts. We got elaborate recommendations for their favorite restauarants and bars. It was no problem to leave our luggage and the car at the hotel the next day after checking out, so we could explore Perugia a bit more. Thank you so much, hopefully we can return soon and stay a bit longer!

The hotel was full, so sadly we could only stay one night. Better luck next time! Pay attention: The streets leading up to the hotel are rather narrow. If you have a slightly bigger car, or are not so experienced, you might have a problem reaching the hotel.

I like most the host and his kindness and helpfulness. He was very polite both with my child and I. And he suggested me places to visit in the town center and excellent places to eat something good. He made me a very good coffee a as soon as I arrive and helped me with my luggages. Super nice and friendly, highly recommended to colleagues and friends of mine! Piada e delizie was suggested to me from Michele, the hotel landlord and it is a very delicious place to go for eating a very typical and special piada al testo!

The room maybe too small and should be a bit refurbished, especially the window in the bathroom; the view from the room was of another building. Unfortunately during the Saturday night it was difficult to me so sleep because of very loud voices of guys outside the hotel until very late. But the hotel landlord told me that this issue happens only on Saturdays because of a new pub opened very close to the hotel.

Location is fab (once you have found it). Staff are warm friendly and very helpful. Breakfast coffee is delicious. Parking right outside hotel incredibly useful

No fruit or cereal available at breakfast (but bread, croissants, yogurt, fruit juice all offered plus a bottle of water).. 6 steep steps with wobbly handrail to get into bathroom from our otherwise lovely large, comfortable bedroom.
