Hotel Pisa Tower

Best of all was the devoted support of the day-time front desk person, Michela, who engaged and solved every problem I had, small or not so small, and there were a number of them because this hotel was my first stop in Europe, and there were things I’d forgotten to pack, things I didn’t realize I needed, COVID regulations I had to meet, scheduling issues, multi-tasking phone-calls, Google-mapping: a receptionist exceptionelle. The location is superb, thrilling indeed, just around the corner outside the medieval gate and, wham, glorious the Piazza dei Miracoli, shining day or night. The rooms I had were large, and the beds un-sagging, refreshing.

The room Michela first gave me was at the top, perfectly quiet, with a nice view. You should know about this room. The last flight of stairs to it were too steep for me to do several times a day, but perhaps not for you. The price for moving down to the first floor was a bit of noise (I have been in far noisier nice hotels). The heat and hot water were a little lower than optimal. TV and internet were fine. Best of all was having at the desk an effective one-woman support team.

Short walk to Tower, restaurants. Lovely high ceiling in room. AC worked well and silently. 10% off voucher for breakfast at nearby restaurant. Loved the pictures in both room and bathroom. Room 10 is on first floor, on right as you look at picture. Bathroom is the room with balcony and flags. You can (just) see the Tower from the balcony. Picture is taken from city wall, which is a very good tour.

The market outside gets a bit noisy a bit early. The bathroom fittings were perhaps selected with a view to the boutique aspirations. Basin is v shallow and not designed to have a plug. Shower cabinet has lots of side jets in addition to the normal spray head. Unfortunately the extra plumbing for these takes up so much space that the cabinet is uncomfortably small. Would have loved a kettle to make the tea (yes, it's an English thing)

It is just off to the left outside the principal gates of the city, and so, pretty quiet considering that you are just around the corner from the “Piazza of Miracles,” the baptistery, cathedral, and leaning (bell) tower, intricate medieval marble wonders sparkling in the sun or nighttime floodlights and a surging sea of tourists. The staff is more than usually welcoming and ready to help, even for hotels in Italy. It’s a real hotel; they straighten up your room every day. I didn’t try the tv. The Wi-Fi was fine. The hot water came in waves, and we’ve all experienced this. Now you’re forewarned. Excellent choice where there are many hotels in a small city, where everything is close by.

We stayed in the separate building which is about 200m away in another apartment building. This was fine and very secure through many secure doors. There is a small lift to get your luggage up if needed but is only one floor up. We had the family room with two single beds and a queen bed and was fine for a family with two teenage girls. There is not a lot of room to move around but is more than suitable if you are there to sleep. Air conditioning works well and there is a small deck. A large supermarket is 50m away and a few hundred meters to the Pisa tower. There is also a good self service laundromat 100m away.

Location is a few minutes walk to Pisa Tower and the major tourist attractions. Room was spacious and cool thanks to the high ceilings. Staff were very friendly and helpful with their recommended restaurant providing the best dinner we had while in Italy. Nice little enclosed garden area to relax at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was at a lovely bakery across from the hotel using a 10% discount voucher, very nice arrangement. Parking was about 5 minutes walk away and secure, however if we had been 15 minutes later the car park would have been full and we would have had to park somewhere else until later in the day.

Did. It effect us, but beware the car park can be full with day trippers during the middle of the day.

The hotel is so close to the leaning tower it was great for us as we were travelling and only there for 1night, hotel staff are very helpful and we felt nothing would be a problem, rooms are adequate with good shower terrific aircon and comfy bed. Nice little garden out the back with comfy settees to relax in. I'd be happy to spend a couple of night here great value for money, taxi from airport 20eur. Worth it as its a bit of a trek away if you were thinking of getting bus or walking. They give you a voucher for breakfast a cross the street as they don't provide it, it's a lovely place for food and great value as anywhere inside the walls of tower is double the price. 10%off. IL POSTO. Is the name.

Can't think of anything important that I didn't like

The hotel has an excellent location, almost next to the Leaning Tower. Our room was quiet big with a big bathroom, fully equipped. There was a discount voucher at the cafe opposite for a breakfast given by the receptionist girl. She was really nice and helpful, she gave us a city map with some tips and we could also left the luggages there for a few hours on the checkout day.

As our room was on the ground floor next to the entrance door and with a street view, it was a bit noisy and the wall is also a bit thin. A small fridge would be also great in the room but we only stayed 1 night so these were just small things for us.

Great location. Very short walk to the Historical centre and restaurants. If you arrive by bus having arrived at Pisa by train, as we did as you get off at the bus stop for the Historical centre the hotel is right there.for Very welcoming .Was given really good information on the area. The room was perfect. Comfortable clean nice bedding & towels .Had a good quality sleep. Loved everything about the stay. Very helpful in arranging a taxi for the airport. Which was a short 15 min ride.Couldn't do enough for us. Would recommend this hotel for your stay in Pisa.

The location of this hotel is perfect. You literally walk out the door, turn left and you are at the Tower and cathedral. The lady who works at reception is so helpful, and accommodating. Helped to carry our bags to our rooms and was so welcoming. The beds are comfortable and linen was beautiful and clean.

It’s an old building, and our bathroom showed some signed of wear, but it was not a problem. The rooms had charm, as did the entrance and reception. The garden looked a little run down, but we didn’t use it, so wouldn’t want to comment further.

You can't get much better in terms of location! It is called Hotel Pisa Tower for a reason. The hotel is on the Pisa Tower square's doorstep and very conveniently located with the bus stop nearby that takes you to and from the Pisa Centrale train station! (which was handy for our solo day trip to Cinque Terre). We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay and would highly recommend to anyone visting Pisa, especially as a tourist. The staff were very friendly and the room kept the light out, we had a lovely and comfortable sleep.
