Hotel Leone

Location is perfect with very easy access to the centre and all the restaurants bars and shops and the Grande Marina which was quieter in the evening.

Very disappointed that in the day of check out we were not permitted to use the pool area for a few hours before we left unless we paid. Never happened in any hotel before and as we hadn’t used the pool for 3 days when we were on day trips we were not prepared to pay as there was plenty of space around the pool! Sadly this really ruined our plans for the last day and tarnished what had been a really good experience until then.

Very well run hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff who give the impression that they want to help because they care and are willing, and not just because they are being professional! Very clean and well kept hotel in a very beautiful and easy to reach location. Great facilities with everything you could want or need for a great holiday.

The beds are slightly uncomfortable, and would be greatly advised for them to invest in some new softer mattresses. Also a bit of criticism for the hotel policy on outsiders/non guests. Me and my friends were attending the wedding of our very close friends who were staying at another hotel close by. And on our arrival, they came to visit us at our hotel with the intention of sitting by the pool bar to have drinks with us. However they were just immediately turned away for the simple fact that they were non hotel guests, despite just wanting to sit outside and spend money at the hotel bar. I found this very unreasonable, and just simply outright ridiculous for so many obvious reasons!

The hotel is very very nice, pool is awesome, breakfast was delicious, location is a little bit far from the port, but is a quiet neighbourhood. room was great, very clean and well decorated.

The front desk staff were not welcoming at all. Almost all of the gentleman were very well dress but very rude with us. Especially Pascuale, he, for some reason, we did not know, was always mad at us. Wherever we asked a question his response was always rude. Not very good costumer service.

Everyone at Hotel Leone was lovely. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast 10/10. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and can’t recommend it enough. We have stayed in a few hotels across the whole Amalfi coast and this one was exceptional. Hotel Leone is also in a great location not too far from the city centre and train/bus station.

The staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was lovely - though it would be nice to have a hot item for a change .The pool area was nice - though they sell chairs to the public also - and sometimes it was very busy and hard to find chairs together.

It would have been nice to have a lunch or dinner option there . The noise of the motorcycles down the little lane by the hotel went on all day and night .the room seemed a little small.

We spent 3 nights at other poor accommodations in Sorrento and were unable to ferry to Ischia due to rough weather so had to unexpectedly spend another night in Sorrento. What a truly wonderful surprise to find Hotel Leone! Beautiful property, rooms and view from our balcony. Professional & courteous staff. Incredible breakfast buffet. We wish we would’ve stayed here our entire time in Sorrento.

Beautiful hotel! Just returned from there. Great staff! Lovely clean rooms. Great location along with good value. We were a group of women and loved sitting by pool for drinks in evening. The staff at pool was great ! Near shops and a wonderful restaurant right down the road Benvenuti in Casa.

There was nothing we did not like!

Fantastic Location only 10 minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes from Sorrento Oldtown. Very close to everything but far enough away to have quiet nights. Buffet breakfast and pool bar serving hot lunches, food good. Great pool with pool towels. Hotel spotlessly clean with daily housekeeping. Good size rooms with good aircon and plenty hot water. Staff were very friendly and helpful, booked two trips through the hotel which had hotel pickups and were great value. Would definitely stay again.

Noise coming from the corridor at night, just standard chitchatting as folks walked back to their rooms but it carried. No other issues with noise and it wouldn’t impact my decision to stay again. No restaurant or night bar in the hotel, not really a big issue, as lots in the oldtown.

Lovely, clean, small hotel, with most helpful staff. Photo shows back of hotel, the front rooms have balconies looking out at mountain, fine view. Breakfast was included, fine range of fruit, cereal, pastries, no fry up but plenty of ham, cheese, boiled eggs, tomatoes, veg, pancakes, toast, bread, fruit juice, tea, coffee. The pool area is beautiful, very relaxing, sun beds had a nifty head shade, food and drinks available on request. Staff were the best. Would stay here again, only 400 m to centre.

Shower fittings a bit dated. But we coped.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the centre, maybe 5-7 minutes walk so away from all of the noise. The pool is lovely. There was always space to sunbathe and the temperature of the water was just right. It was nice and relaxing spending a day by the pool. The photos look like the neighbouring buildings might be a bit imposing but the hotel is shielded by foliage so it does feel private. For a small hotel, they serve a good selection of hot meals for lunch including salad and pasta dishes which was great. The rooms are decent size and all the staff we met were lovely and polite. I would definitely recommend this hotel, we were with a group of 7 friends and we all had a great time.

Nothing apart from the breakfast options, while they do have a good selection it would be nice to have a few hot options like scrambled egg or cooked mushrooms and tomatoes- probably just an English thing. There were lots of standard cheese, ham, salads, cereal, fruit and patty options, so still lots to choose from.
