Terra Nova All Suite Hotel

I liked the fact the rooms are very big even a regular room. There is also a casino attached to the hotel if you are a gambler and a bar that plays music. Also across the street basically is Devon House which is for family solo and romantic couples if you like a park like scenery with Icecream a bakery and even an upscale Steak Restaurant as well as other places to eat and on Sundays there are plenty of vendors. There are also stores and restaurants walking distance and the area is very busy but safe...

I did not like the fact that I had a band play music mostly every day outside my room, .. Also the free breakfast area is very hot and the food is made for Jamaicans only. Tourists wanting an american breakfast have to pay for pancakes and omelettes but bacon and sausage links are free & greasy with toast and fruit but if you like eating Jamaican food you will be fine... Also the service to eat dinner is very slow but the servers were nice.

Front desk staff were amazing, kind and attentive. Comfortable bed, room. Couch, desk and eating table. Free Breakfast was amazing. Lots of food choices. Quick service. Servers/waiters very nice. Loved my electric kettle. Beautiful gardens n property. Hotel taxi very clean n comfortable. Taxi driver Smitty was very kind and friendly. Great security staff. Casino next door. After the storm passed, flooding n settling water disappeared quickly. I was told the property has special pumps to remove excess water. Staff kept an eye on the water n sand bags were readily available n used. I felt safe during the storm.

Trees and bushes were cut a day after the storm. Should have been done way before storm Elsa arrived. The bar/lounge area was closed but you could have your drinks in the restaurant area.

Excellent choices for breakfast and especially delightful selection of fresh fruits. Location was central for walking to stores and shopping. Also walking distance to the delightful Devon House Great House tour, the craft shops, ice cream shop, bakery, and restaurants. Impressed with the Regency Club disco and live jazz entertainment. Beautiful pool area and casino. Also liked that the trees on the grounds were labeled with their botanical names. Nice touch! Watching the brightly colored beautiful variety of goldfish swim around and play in the fishponds with the water falling was intoxicating and really relaxing. I sat on the rocky ledge for an hour or more each day just to feel the tension float away by the babbling and whistling sound and clean fresh smell of the water. Much needed unadulterated peace and calm for mind and soul. Impressive that both ponds by the reception walk up and the Conference area were so well kept and adorned with the most beautiful orchids and palms. Really lovely and satisfying stay. Staff spoiled me too. I plan to return soon.

The location was very central and in walking distance to the Famous DEVON HOUSE (ice-cream house). It is also local to banks and the Cambio should you need to change money to the local currency, plus the hotel is not too far from 'Half Way Tree' to connect with the local bus and taxi terminal should you wish to venture out further to Spanish Town or Old Harbour. The breakfast selection served at the hotel was exceptional and so delicious! I chose from the traditional Jamaican menu; Starter was a plate of fresh fruits followed by Ackee & Saltfish, Steamed Calaloo, Fried Dumpling, Fried Bammy, Fried ripe plantains and bacon, all washed down with a fine hot cup of Blue Mountain Coffee. The best way to start your day! The staff members were 5 star and ever so very helpful and attentive. This is a nice small hotel. Will definitely re-book my stay here.

Food was great. Selection for breakfast and dinner was good. Everything tasted nice also. Staff were approachable and industrious. Parking was never a problem.

Its a bit over priced for what you get i feel, but would i stay there again, the answer is yes. If you want quiet ask to be away from the evening entertainment.

Firstly, the staff from the reception to the restaurant and bar,vwere all friendly, helpful, and professional. The grounds on which the hotel sits are nicely groomed and maintained. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent. The hotel is centrally located and easy to get to from the (Kingston) airport, traffic notwithstanding. My room was at the end of the hallway, which added a nice level of privacy and quiet.

There is very little that falls under this category. My only finding is that the hotel does need a little TLC. Clearly an old edifice, but the rooms are a bit dated, but I'll hasten to add that this does add to the charm of the esthetic design. Minor design updates and renovations to the rooms and bathrooms (while maintaining its original exterior beauty) would definitely make this an even more upscale establishment.

Terra Nova is easy access to everything, good restaurants, shopping , Bridget Sandals and my favorite Devon House. Regents finger foods at nights and specialty drinks. The staff at Terra Nova are welcoming, helpful, respectful and always there if you need them. another thing I actually love not like is their turn down service where a staff knocks on the door with complimentary bottle water and cookies. it two but I love them and looked forward to my cookies at night.

breakfast menu needs revamped, salt mackerel run down sauce was too thick. I had to pour all of the contents on my plate in an effort to separate the salt mackerel. Also, the ackee and salt fish could use some salt fish. fruits appear to be in the refrigerator for a bit or was left open because they looked a bit dried out/freezer burn. I love that they have a variety of juices but the juice taste as if they was watered down because it lost its taste. Eg, a June plum should taste like a June plum or close….. I believe that Management can take a look at this area because I was not motivated to eat lunch and dinner at the hotel.

Evening meal was amazing breakfast was excellent with an array of choice. The room was lovely especially the court yard garden from bedroom window .

Had no WiFi connection for an hour, reception tried to rectify the problem unfortunately to no avail .

The service in the restaurant did not match the service of the accommodation. I invited a party of five to dinner while I was there. We had to ask for a drinks list after having waited for a good fifteen minutes. The waiter appeared to be confused at first but he got it right in the end.

The lamb I ordered was very fatty and was not tasty at all except for the mint dressing and The broccoli was overcooked and wilted. Everyone else was pleased with their choices. The plated menu needs to be clearly defined for breakfast I was charged US$6 for extras even though breakfast was said to be free . This time two of us were seated without place settings and without napkins! Again the waiter tho pleasant seemed to be either new or overwhelmed. Breakfast was however tasty and plenty!

It’s a beautiful place on secured luscious premises with an old world, upscale grandeur. Almost all staff members were highly professional and very friendly, rooms are spacious and comfortable, it serves a tasty plated buffet or a la carte breakfast, has a nice nice pool and reliable WiFi.

Sound isolation is mediocre at best (and various other guests, cleaning staff and slamming doors were pretty loud at times). And the advertised “garden view” was a classic parking lot view (with one plant between the window and the cars).
