What a great hotel - very much lived up to expectations. I didn’t book the cheapest room but next one up as loved the wee window seat and general Japanese aesthetic vibes and it was fabulous. Sure not a huge room, but this is Tokyo - what do you expect?! Staff were always lovely. Bonus the excellent coffee shop directly across the road and pastry shop next door!! Lots of convenience stores and restaurants around as well. So whilst it may not be the obvious choice for area in Tokyo it’s very well serviced and I liked it - it constantly felt calm and easy to navigate in a city of 35 million!! And bonus tip, head to the park around the corner to see cherry blossoms!! So much better than the big parks where sure, there’s many more but you have to battle a million people to get a view. At the park it was me and a few dog walkers.

To be honest these are really minor and none would stop me from staying again. Would be nice if closer to a metro stop, but then there’s a bunch in walking distance so not a huge deal. Would have been nice to be able to check in early but understand that’s not possible - I had a crazy long flight so it’s always painful not to get a shower and nap in. One of my pillows was very strange texture, kind of it was partly stuffed with rice, but I only needed one and the other was fine, and I’m sure they would have swapped if I needed it. Overall all VERY minor criticism - fabulous hotel and will stay again.

Really clean, great lighting options in the room. Can DIY bath salts for free for the bath which is a really nice touch. Shower pressure is amazing and housekeeping is great, even leave a bag of fresh towels etc on the days you don’t want housekeeping. Washing machine and dryer in the building as well and an ice machine which is great. Nearby has plenty of options for food and a 24hr supermarket right opposite. Direct line to Shinjuku which is great. Would recommend for those that have visited tokyo before and don’t necessarily need to be around Shinjuku/shibuya area.

There’s a balcony in the room but you can’t go onto it.

This was my favourite hotel during my whole trip. The decor was well thought out and beautifully modern and looked very high end but everything was still affordable. I had a good sized room for what is usually expected in Japan and the cleaning staff were kind and very detailed oriented as my room was so well cleaned everyday. The staff were very helpful and polite to me, and I felt really safe. The hotel is only a few minutes away from 24hr grocery stores and some convenience stores and even though it's a but far out from the cbd of Tokyo, there are several train stations around 10 mins walk away to take you to the cbd. A wonderful and beautiful hotel!

This hotel is, to put in a word, the absolute dream hotel to me. Impeccably stylish with jazz influences and cool design accents (think warm wood tones and cool stone grey), it pleases the eyes from the first encounter. The lobby is beautiful, so is the restaurant / lounge (they often invited pianists and jazz musicians in Tokyo to perform, which was an utter delight!). The room was equally stylish. I can tell a lot of thoughts had been applied to the lighting, amenities, even the power points. Bathroom was perfect. The room was cleaned everyday, spotless. Truly, this hotel exceeded my expectations, and the fact that it was located in a low key and artistic neighbourhood with cafes and bakery (and a number of parks) in the vicinity is a delight. It even has a dessert bar! Breakfast was delicious as well, their mini sausages were crisp on the outside and so juicy. Additionally, all the staff members were gentle and accommodating, and even with my limited Japanese, they were able to understand all my requests, and converse in English if necessary. Connectivity is also a plus. A bus stop to a nearby train station is right outside, and three other stations are a short and easy walk away.

Nothing, it was perfect.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the design was very fresh and modern. I also really appreciated the free bath salts and bathtub in the room — was a very relaxing end to the evenings!

I didn’t dislike anything about the property! I did notice that cleaning times went a bit late and I arrived back from the day when the staff were about to clean my room so it didn’t get cleaned or I waited. This did not upset me though, I recognize larger issues like staff shortages or bigger workloads may have contributed to delays (or poor timing on my part), and the staff are very kind. The rooms still felt clean despite this!

I loved the staff, very helpful and kind. Had my luggage forwarded here from a previous hotel in Kyoto and they already put it in the room when we arrived. Staff was very helpful also when one of our carry ons broke and how to dispose of it and also offered options on how to forward our luggage to the airport. Clean facility. If you opt to not have the room cleaned daily and put the do not disturb sign they will leave you a bag of fresh towels amd water bottles which was really appreciated. The amenities and ability to make your own DIY bathsalts were lovely. Very modern and quaint. Would definitely stay here again! About a 10 minute walk from several stations. Has a 24hr supermarket across the street.

We stayed a double room with a small double bed. The room is too small to open two suitcases, however, all furniture are well laid. After all, it is very cozy for us. As for the access, you may feel the hotel is far from the close station at the first. Once you get used to the area, however, you will recognize the convenience that three metro stations are available in 7min on foot. Surrounding Ningyocho station is the nostalgic area so that you can find the Japan taste souvenirs and foods there. For breakfast, I suggest “La Boulangerie Django” which is located just next to the hotel and opens at 8:30am. Their sandwiches and freshly baked bread are excellent. The cafe “Single O Hamacho” which is located in the opposite side of the same street is also superbug. Staffs are friendly and speaks English.

Although my husband needed to work in the room, I also wanted them to clean the room. However, there were no space for working outside the room. The restaurant in the first floor closes from 10am to lunch time.

Really liked the location, close to everything we needed and easy to get to to spots further away with the train. There is a bus stops right outside the hotel which takes you to Akihabara Station which can take you mostly anywhere in Tokyo. There is also an underground very close where you can take a train to the connecting stations very easily. Customer service was very kind and accommodating. Also loved the local Unagi restaurant Asada, very kind owner and great food!

The shower is a little short for me, I'm 185cm and the shower head was below my eyebrows. The ventilation was sometimes hard to get the right temperature, the ventilation would sometimes start blowing more even though we didn't change the settings. So we would have to increase/decrease the temperature by 1 degree Celsius back and forth depending on what the ventilation was doing at the moment.

The Hotel was very clean. The room was spacious for Tokyo and the whole hotel is nicely decorated. Clean bathroom with a tub and ample space. Breakfast was tasty. All Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood which is clean and quiet. Two subway stations are in walking range (10 minutes). All in all we had a great stay and can recommend Hamacho Hotel!

The breakfast selection was a bit limited and the buffet was no longer refilled after 09:30 (breakfast ends at 10). Sometimes the aircon made some cheeping noise (even when turned off).

I really loved the cleanliness and the Japanese style of this hotel. Upon entering the lobby, I felt comfort and tranquility, without any sense of oppression. The rooms have full-length mirrors, and the bathroom lighting is just right, making the entire experience more comfortable. Overall, it's a hotel that exudes comfort and coziness. Additionally, it's quite convenient as it takes only about 7-10 minutes to walk to the nearest subway station.

I were to point out a drawback, it might be that the surrounding area lacks vibrancy.
