Hotel Valdemars Riga managed by Accor

On an overall experience we enjoyed staying in this hotel! Staff was really friendly. Breakfast was good enough - delicious and options to choose from. Location was great, more or less 12 min to get to old town by foot.

Hair dryer! Even tho I appreciate that there was a hair dryer (an actual one, not the typical hotel one attahched to wall), it was really weird as in it has electric leakage. I dont really care but sound from the street may bother as it is quite loud during the day. But then again, definitely not a reason for me to rate this hotel as 9 out of 10 :)

Staff - amazing. Answered all questions, even let us park a bit longer after check out. Location is really great too. They have their own parking but it's additional 15e per day. If you're planning to stay here - get breakfast for sure. Quite a bit variety of breakfast foods and everything was tasty:) The room was small but had all the needed necessities, same with the bathroom (tho a bathroom mat would be nice because water easily gets on the floor with that type of shower).

The bed was quite weird. For some reason the mattress is really high and extremely soft. A bit uncomfy.

the staff were really attentive. They tried to do the best they could for us. It is in a good central location. They gave us a kettle for our room too.

We reserved parking, but someone stole our spot. In the end we parked 4 mins away on foot for less. They gave us some free breakfast for messing us around with that so fine. They need to sort the parking out as they have only a few spaces with the others being owned by the flats. They need to have notice or signs on spaces that they are reserved. The Spa was nice, but we found that too many were using it at the same time. They need to limit numbers.

I liked the hotel because of its location and also because it had character. When i first booked i took a standard room (which upon arrival, I found to be a bit small for my tastes) ; so I upgraded my room and enjoyed a room that was very spacious. Even though the rooms and bathrooms are in need of an update, the building itself is lovely. I was told that the hotel will be entirely refurbished in the near future and that is a very good thing. Even though it was a bit out of date, i loved the atmosphere of days gone by and do not for a second regret having spent several days there. I know that i will keep a wonderful memory of my stay. The bed was luxurious, actually totally devine. So much so that i had trouble getting out of it in the morning!! The hotel was very well situated within a short walking distance from many interesting sights (art nouveau architecture neighborhood). Also a small super market, post office and lots of great restaurants and bars.

Breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about, not bad just not exceptional. A bit noisy due to being on a main street. But from what i understand all the windows are going to be redone in the near future to alleviate the street noise issues.

Beds were so comfy, we slept well. Honestly a great mattress with quality bedding. Breakfast was more than adequate, good coffee, good selection. Stuffed every morning. The spa was of an excellent quality, and great thing to have after a day out. No charge and very comfortable. The location is great too, in the city currently m centre and near bars and restaurants that weren't just tourist traps.

Room was a little sparse but was accurate to the photos and was more than made up for by the comfy bed. They are clearly investing in communal areas and hopefully will add a little more comfort to the rooms

Very good breakfast and location. We got in quite late very tired from the competitions and the hotel was willing to extend the opening time of spa for us in the evening - it was great. The spa is very private and comfortable. It was a good place to stay at with dogs - the park is just over the street.

Overall there were no problems with the hotel at all. Just consider that it is not that easy to find parking around and it's only free on nearby streets during Sat evening and Sunday.

The location was excellent and the facilities too. We specifically liked the room size, the toiletries, the spa with the jacuzzi and the bar on the ground floor.

The only thing we were disappointed about was when we arrived the next day, even though the room has been cleaned, some used cups weren’t replaced and the bed wasn’t made properly. Also, the room was not air conditioned, and it got very hot at night so it was slightly uncomfortable. Rest everything was perfect !

I loved it all. The hotel is perfectly situated a walking distance from the old city center and all the other places one might want to visit in this city. The hotel was clean and the bed were absolutely comfortable; however, having a small refregirator would have been a bonus. Breakfast was delicious, but to my surprise, it wasn't included and nobody has told us during the first two days although on the third day we had an unpleasant confrontation with the manager, who wasn't as friendly and accomodating as we found the rest of the staff to be.

I just didn't like the attitude of the manager, who made my friend and I feel like we'd been stealing his breakfast. I guess, the staff must ask each person walking into the breakfast room for their room number to know who must pay and who musn't; however, nobody asked us for the first two days, and therefore, I didn't know that in the end the breakfast wasn't included in the price that I had paid, which I hadn't realized when booking the place. I believe the manager could have dealt with the situation a bit different, without making my friend and I feel real uncomfortable.

Excellent location, within walking distance of the city center. there is a coffee maker in the room. Right next to the hotel there is a supermarket where you can buy everything you need. very friendly lady at the reception. The renovated rooms are very modern and comfortable. I would stay at this hotel next time.

Very nice hotel room, - I really liked the comfortable bed. - the room was quiet - staff was very nice and friendly. - location is very good - close to the old city, in the art Nuovo quarter and near public transport.

-breakfast was very basic without vegan options (come on guys it's 2023), lucky there are plenty of vegan friendly restaurants/caffes around the hotel. -when taking a shower water spilled around all the bathroom
