Mercure Marijampole

It was our second stay at Mercure Marijampole and it is the most convenient option in Marijampole located in the main part of the city with a park just steps away. We loved the hotel restaurant on the ground floor with a very good selection. Furthermore was positively surprised to find a cigar lounge in the hotel. Reception staff was very helpful and allowed early check-in and late check-out despite busy weekend with a dog show.

We did not like the high cost related to pets staying in the room. Also parking space is very limited and with high occupancy in the hotel it was not possible to park in the hotel parking when we arrived quite late from the dog show.

We traveled with an electric car and the choice of hotel was really determined by the proximity of charging stations. The hotel has a small electric car charging station, but it didn't work with any of the networks we had - Chargemap, Greenway and Ignitis ON - which was admittedly a bit of a disappointment. On a positive note, the hotel has a 24 hour front desk - this was the second option for choosing a hotel as we knew we would be arriving well after midnight and they served us very well. All in all, a good hotel if you are traveling with an electric car, just check the charging options yourself in advance. Nice view to the city from hotel room.

Location and design

I booked my room for an 1 night stay together with my dog.Later I got a message they charge 30€ for a dog!!!I was thinking to cancel the reservation but then that time I just couldn’t.Before You sell me something I should know that price?!And If I don’t agree with it I won’t take it!I meansion that in the reception and they only charged me the room. But the next day another staff when I was checking out ask me to charge the dog!I understand the cancellation policy but let me know the time before.And communication is important between staff members.

The property was modern and clean, the breakfast was delicious, the beds were comfy, and the location was perfect! Free parking too

Breakfast time could start earlier on the weekends - 8am was a little too late for us as we had places to be, but if the breakfast started at 7am, it would’ve been perfect

When you have such a big bed in the room, I think it would make sense to use a big sheet and a big blanket/doona. Instead, the sheet was too small and didn’t fit the bed properly, and the blanket was too small for two people to use comfortably. The breakfast was also not amazing - ok, but again, could use some more love.

Location is the biggest advantage of this hotel. It's well located in the central town square next to a beautiful park. There is a great view from the room. The room was bright, clean, comfortable and quite large. The room had a kettle, coffee, tea. The bathroom has a heated floor, which was nice.

Breakfast and restaurant in general was the worst part. The hotel has the Center Grill & Lounge instead of the previous PJazz restaurant, which is very disappointing. Breakfast was terribly bad. Due to the covid situation there was no possibility to have breakfast in the restaurant. However, breakfast must be picked up by hotel guests themselves, and delivery to the room is available only at an additional cost. I think this is strange during the quarantine period. Also, we didn’t get everything we ordered. There were also a couple of broken electrical outlets and the phone in the room. It’s not a big deal, but it’s just weird that the phone is left broken. SPA (three saunas and jacuzzi) is really overpriced.

All in favour. Restaurant / reception staff very friendly and helpful. I would like to thank the waitress who worked on the holiday 24.06 for making my day better with her beautiful smile ;) The room / bathroom was clean and well equipped. The gym is a big plus.

Breakfast not very varied. Scrambled eggs in bemar unfortunately not very tasty. There was no alternative to bread (rice, buckwheat).

Very good hotel, clean, big room (nr 501, corner room), big bathroom, all the bathroom things included, location is very good at main street, hotel has very nice bar and disco. We are very surprised, that this kind of super hotel we found on our drive. Free parking, breakfast is very simple.

The hotel is centric and the room was spotless clean. 10 minutes to commercial centre and supermarket, 1-5 minutes to restaurants. Breakfast was full and of a good quality. Wanna say thank you to the staff, who kindly gave us a quiet room just as we asked in the reservation - we had a very good, relaxing stay at Mercure. Definitely recommendable to everyone.

The hotel maintains its high class! the general quality of service is very decent. The stuff is polite and friendly. Unbeatable value for money.

The breakfast has become poorer since our last visit half a year ago. Unfortunately our trip in august coincided with a wedding held in the hotel and a public concert nearby. So a noisy night may occur from time to time.
