Hotel Carpini

Easy to find the hotel, which is not always the case in Europe, I am finding. Good amount of available parking. The hotel is above an Italian restaurant, very good and very convenient. 3 beds in the room! I get to choose! Good selection for breakfast, marvelous bread, strong coffee.

Shower fixture didn't have the adjustment needed. To raise it high enough to wet my hair without bending, the water would go over the sides of the shower stall. At just after midnight, what sounded like a car alarm went off...and continued to go off for 20 minutes. I finally got out of bed, went outside, where there were 2 fire engines, at least 15 fire fighters, all milling around. A dozen or more guests also outside. The alarm was the hotel smoke alarm system. I asked the next morning...and...a battery in the smoke alarm system had died, setting off the alarm. No fire, no emergency. Why did it take almost 45 minutes before someone stuck a new battery in the smoke alarm? 15 firefighters? Not the hotel's fault...but just a mess.

The room was comfortable and pleasant. The air conditioning was useful in the heat. The staff were attentive to all guests. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

The bathroom was also quite good, but unfortunately there was black mould in the corner of the shower. The hair dryer holder was broken. There were no cups for brushing teeth and the toiletries could be of better quality. The shower pipe had holes and there was a large amount of water escaping from there. If these few things were changed this place would be a 10 point.

The room was very spacious and cool, the air-conditioning was very appreciated. It was clean and the hotel overal was very nice. We ate at the restaurant the first night and the food was delicious. The staff was kind, the beds comfortable, we'll definitely come again. The included breakfast was basic but still good and delicious.

The bathroom couldn't be locked, and one of the beds was very squeaky (we were in room 204), but everything else made more than up for it.

While traveling from Berlin to Dover, we chose this reasonably-priced hotel along the way. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable, the free parking was convenient, and the breakfast very good. The man at the reception had a wonderful sense of humor and the Italian restaurant downstairs was well visited, serving delicious freshly-prepared food. We’ll definitely stop here again!

Great location with a short drive from Luxembourg City. For my requirements I just needed a hotel room for the night so it was adequate for my needs. Very helpful and friendly staff at reception.

The door handle into my room was a bit temperamental in terms of getting into my room and the breakfast was very basic. Overall, I was satisfied.

We only stayed hire one night on the way to UK from holidays in South of Europe. Room is absolutely fine for couple, kid and a dog. Downstairs there is a Italian restaurant and great food with very friendly staff, breakfast very nice and fresh 💪 all great for few hours stay, highly recommended and very low price with breakfast included.

Huge room, location was very good. Beds comfy.

Parking wasn’t the best when we came back after popping out. I’m disabled, so need to park close and it was very busy. Room was quite noisy, could hear everything from the street below, and could smell cigarette smoke if we opened any windows.

Very nice and helpfull personel. Air conditioning in the room. Comfortable beds. Big and tasty breakfast! For me it was perfect place to stay.

It takes time to make water warm in the shower but it is minor problem. Maybe to someone cars passing through the street can be too noisy but for me it was not problem.

good food in the evening, friendly welcome, good continental style breakfast with croissants, bread ham, cheese, jam and Nutella, coffee and juice

we had a room at the top up a few flights of stairs so was a bit tiresome carrying bags up there, otherwise was good

The host Sasha and the personnel were attentive and helpful. Everything was great and additionally great Italian food there as this is hotel-restaurant. Very enjoyable time we had spent there. Our best regards to Sasha and the personnel of Carpini.
