Cornucopia Hotel

The hotel was really nice and comfortable. We also loved the style of the hotel. Staff members were extremely helpful and nice. We arrived earlier than the actual check-in time and were still given the room. This was a huge plus for us. We were also informed that our room was upgraded for free. Daily room cleaning was efficient, and the breakfast was nice. We enjoyed the pool as well. Upon checkout, we were also offered to spend the day by the pool. We only declined because we had other plans for the day. Will definitely be returning.

Even though we enjoyed the pool, it was a bit cold. On a particular day, children were jumping in both pools. Maybe one of the pools could be reserved for adults only, and children could be stopped from jumping on people in the pool.

Loved, loved, loved this gem of a hotel. It's old, beautiful, pretty and its staff are second to none. Loved our bedroom with its breathtaking valley view. Swam every day in the beautiful pools in the quiet courtyards, surrounded by flowers and birdsong. Great breakfast every morning. Had dinner on a few evenings in the hotel- food was tasty with the best swordfish ever! Short walk to Xaghra with its quaint little square, where its handful of great restaurants were overlooked by the beautiful village church.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They really make guests feel welcome. They packed a breakfast for us since we had to depart early, and it was waiting on the counter for us when we came to the front to check out. Very thoughtful. The view from the property is really nice, and the pool area was lovely. It was too cold to try out the pool during our stay.

There aren't many outlets in the room, and some of the facilities are outdated. Breakfast was pretty good but doesn't have much for whole grain options.

The staff and cleanliness were superb. Breakfast was good too. The bed was decently a proper double one and not 2 singles put together. It was nice and calm and so it was a relaxing experience. The receptionists were all very helpful. The room had ample space to hide the luggage and keep the clothes and shoes neatly stacked away. Tea and coffee making facility was a great bonus. The breathtaking view from the hotel could be enjoyed every time we went out and although the room was facing the pool and because of some inclement weather and the time of year, I would still rate the room as being very good.

The shower was a bit angry 😅 and although the water flow was great, it was too powerful. The a/c could not be controlled and not silent. Due to the time of the year, we could do away without it.

The hotel's location is excellent with no parking problem and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The breakfast is always varied and excellent. The staff is one of a kind.

Some of the guests and their kids spoiled part of the experience for the rest of us. However, this was no fault of the hotel and its staff and it is the first time we experienced this in 30 years of staying at this hotel. The hotel staff were doing their very best to deal with the issue.

Such a charming, traditional Gozitan property. The staff are excellent and create a very welcoming, family atmosphere. The pools & grounds are well designed and tended to. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool, other rooms were overlooking the Marsalforn valley. Our room was spotlessly cleaned daily. There was a mini fridge in the room which felt like a lovely addition.

We loved it!! There are a few small improvements that could be made, I think our mattress & pillows may have been due an update. The decor in our room was very clean but could benefit from a little bit of work.

The hotel has a beautiful inner garden with two swimming pools and sunbeds. There is a decent restaurant, but you can also walk in 10 minutes to the city center for more options. Staff is super friendly and some rooms have an amazing view over the valley. There also plenty of parking spaces, a fridge in the rooms and a bar to get drinks.

The rooms are clean, but definitely outdated. The windows are new, but the doors are old and don't hold a ton of noise. I would recommend to not get a room on the street side, but on the garden side or get one on the upper floor. There is also a continuous hum of AC's everywhere, but I guess that's inherent to the location.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Cornucopia Hotel for a stay in Gozo. It was elegant, beautiful, with gorgeous views of the sea and countryside from our room. It is historic and comfortable. They served a full breakfast every morning, and the staff was kind and very helpful. The pools and poolside areas were lovely; poolside drinks reasonably priced. The flowers and courtyards are beautiful. The Cornucopia was peaceful and relaxing, and our 8 year old grandson also had a great time making friends at the pool with children from different countries, but the pool area was never overcrowded or loud. Beds were comfortable and room was a very good size with high ceilings as befits an old historic palace.

I would have liked to see a little variety in the breakfast as we stayed a few days, but honestly, everything was wonderful.

Room was a bit oldschool, beds have seen their best days. My view was on street and partly to the nature with a shared walkway to rooms. There was a table and chairs outside the room. I would have appreciated an own balcony. Ac / heating machine worked automatically and made loud noice.

Very decent breakfast was included in the room rate. Our room was situated on the corner of the property which meant we had a much larger terrace with country and sea-views that was much appreciated. 2 Pool areas with plenty of sun-beds provide a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxed ambiance.

Notwithstanding the hard times experienced from Covid, they have done a fair job here with the up-keep of this ageing hotel, however some attention needs to be given to the beds as the mattresses definitely need to be changed. And if i may suggest, a complimentary bottle or two of water in the room wouldn't go amiss.
