Hosteria del Frayle

A very unique beautiful place in the heart of Guanajuato. The room was big and very clean. The place is located waking distance from all main attractions. It was very quiet at night considering that there was the Festival de cervantino.. The stuff was very nice and helpful. They allowed us to store our luggage after we checked out. We highly recommend the place and we will be back. Thank you.

The only thing we didn't like was that the room had no windows. (room #11 )We needed to leave to door open to let some fresh air in. If you like a window just ask for another room.

Location because it is close to the city center and various attractions. Spacious rooms, great price value. There are 4 floors in the building, each floor has a sitting space that allows you to enjoy your stay outside of your room. The hotel is 100% smoke free. The rooms have a safe, ask for key upon check-in. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a bell boy who helps you carry your luggage since the stairs are extremely steep and there is no elevator. The temperature is hot but the hotel offers fans so that is helpful. Iron upon request. I traveled with a large party and each room is different regarding space and decoration so that was nice. There are family suites and suites available too. I would stay here again.

Since it is in the main street it is extremely noisy during the night, you can hear all the night club’s music, if you have a light sleep I definitely do not recommend rooms facing the main street. The stairs are very steep, I do not recommend if you have knee or leg problems, or are elderly. I had breakfast included but the restaurants open until 9:30am and the food is tasteless.

the local nightlife ( pounding vibrations from music at local bars and nightclubs made sleeping difficult)

you can hear everything the walls are paper thin what really bothered us, we went in without having a reservation (cause sometimes if you book directly they give you a better price than online). the pride online was 575 and the woman on the reception told us 900!! that was not cool!! of course we booked immediately online amd we paid the cheaper price.

The location very quiet. The building is beautiful. The location is ideal.

The showerhead I had to clean. The lamp cord was frayed. The room was very hot and it had no windows. The water came out of the spirit extremely hot. Even the toilet used very hot water to flush. The female attendant was useless.

Super stylish Rustic place with a great charm. Location is the best. Very enjoyable

Some equipment was dated,hot water was somtime slow to come, need more lighting and better insonorisation. But minor things compared to the great stay we had

Other than the breakfast situation, the place was beautiful, the rooms were nice, but unless you like stairs, request the 1st or 2nd floor

when booking the room it said breakfast included, when I arrived I asked for the details and yes it was included for the adults only, breakfast was at a different location and served until 10 am.

I liked the location and price. The downside was that there is no elevator and climbing up and down stairs was a bit of exercise (normally, not a bad idea but my husband had a knee injury).

The beds could have been more comfortable but overall it was acceptable.

Location and architectural, old vibes goes well with the name and city
