Beautiful tranquil garden, nice decor, setting very relaxing and the pool so welcome in the heat! Good location in the town, near to the main zocalo and lovely street Calz. de Los Frailes with nice cafes and craft shops. Also a delicious bakery round the corner called Ancestra on Calle 46.

The room was quite dark if you didn’t have the doors wide open but then it meant it wasn’t very private as we were right by the pool and facing b the restaurant. Our shower was also very temperamental. The peace of enjoying the garden was also spoilt a little by the music from the restaurant which didn’t quite fit with the vibe of the hotel, something a little more relaxing and melodic might have helped the tone!

This place was close to perfect. The best part of Casa Aluxes is the shady, green, artsy, quirky grounds, full of fun and interesting places to sit and hang out, or relax in a hammock. Nice pool. It was also a huge bonus to have breakfast included on site, very convenient and delicious. Well managed. Good location, easy walking distance to the central plaza, restaurants, shops. I appreciated that they had parking in the back that was gated and locked at night. Everything seemed thoughtful and well planned.

A few things could be improved. Breakfast wasn't served until 8:00, and it would have been nice to have a way to get a cup of coffee earlier than that. One morning we arrived at 8:00 only to be told they were mopping the floor and to come back later. They charged us $2.50 for coffee refills, something I would expect from a $20 a night hotel, but not here. Just seemed kinda petty. Wish they would not have the TV on in the dining area, it was distracting. Disappointingly, we would have liked to have stayed for dinner, but in the evenings they play loud, harsh music, which drove us away. Always wish places like this had a place to refill water bottles, so we didn't have to keep buying more darn plastic bottles. Avoid room #2, it's dark and noisy, right by the road.

Everything. Thank you to Roberto on the front desk for being so welcoming and for the fantastic Valladolid recommendations. We used Valladolid as a base for visiting ruins but the pueblo itself was worth a visit in its own right. Great food, people and things to see. Our rooms were wonderful, the AC was a God send and everything was v clean. A big thank you to the kitchen and waiting staff too for a fantastic breakfast every morning! We would most certainly stay here again if we come back.

The hotel has a very good atmosphere. We loved sitting on the terrace outside the room, kids playing in the pool. The garden is just lovely, great lights at night too. The people from the hotel are very friendly and gave us hood tips and advice. can’t beat the location, so close to the central plaza.

The restaurant next door serves breakfast and the waiter was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. The music coming from the restaurant was a good selection, but was very loud and last till very late at night (23.00h or later).

Really lovely accommodation in the heart of Valladolid. It’s very close to the city and in a very calm street. Directly next to it is a small shop for water and stuff. The garden ist marvellous! We have never seen such a nice and well decorated one in whole Mexiko. The team was excellent. Abraham gave us really good tips for Cenotes and restaurants. We enjoyed it a lot and would recommend to everyone who likes to spend an individual and relaxing holiday in Valladolid

We had the only big double room which faces the street. It was a bit loud in the morning. The others are facing the garden. But it was nevertheless very nice.

It was a home from home. The garden was beautiful the our room which was the family room was so comfortable. Normally hotels scrimp on space but our room was so generous. There are loving quirky and artistic touches everywhere. We loved every minute of being in this charming hotel in this wonderful town. Well rested, well fed and utterly charmed we left determined to come back.

Casa Aluxes is located in one of the best locations in Valladolid, a short three minute walk to the central plaza and some great restaurants. There are only six bedrooms in the hotel and a good restaurant. giving it secure family feel. The rooms surround a central pool and garden and is a nice relaxing contrast with the sometimes busy streets adjacent. Vania, the hotel manager went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Vania also recommended a visit to the nearby Suytun cenote which we thoroughly enjoyed. Cenote Zaci in Valladolid itself is currently under construction although he restaurant is open. Ample and easy accessible parking was provided.

We had some problems with the TV which was quickly fixed by the very friendly staff.

Loved the rustic feel of this charming hotel. Our room was exactly how I imagined a typical Mexican hacienda would be. The courtyard was lovely with hammocks and rocking chairs and a small clean pool. The location was perfect between the convent square and the cathedral square. The staff was friendly. We were very happy for 2 nights and really loved Valladolid.

More areas to sunbathe in the courtyard. It was quite shady.

Nicely decorated, clean and spacious rooms, facing a lovely garden and pool. Friendly and helpful staff. We got some great restaurant tips from them. Also, they helped us to remove a creepy crawler (which could get into any hotel room) from our room in the middle of the night. Good location: close to the city center, but on a quiet street.

Casa Aluxes was a fantastic property. It was beautifully decorated in a wonderful Spanish Colonial style. The property was personally decorated by the owner and her style really shines through. The staff was terrific Vanya, Miguel and Valentine were so friendly and helpful, I truly enjoyed my time there at the property. They gave me a lot of help recommending restaurants and other attractions in Valladolid The Breakfast is good and very substantial with a wide selection of items. In the afternoon the Restaurant opens and has many different choices as well as great cocktails.

Not really any negatives regarding the property, other than a crowing rooster near the hotel, but earplugs solved that problem. I Also was disappointed that the City of Valladolid was so restrictive with covid rules that are frankly, nonsensical that it was hard to enjoy myself there in Valladolid.
