If you think staying in a Windmill sounds cool... you are absolutely right! Not only did we love the novelty of it, but the King Suite also had a fun, updated style and was clean, roomy, well appointed, and comfortable. It's located in a beautiful, quaint, little town, yet there are plenty of options for food within a quick drive. The hosts were clear, timely communicators--providing us with all the info we needed to easily find the place, get parked (Free), check in via door code, and find our way to a great dining experience!

Would have loved to be able to climb up to the top floor of the windmill--although I'm guessing that probably would present liability issues for the owners.

It was quirky experience to get to stay in a real windmill during our trip to the Netherlands. The facilities provided were excellent including a fridge, plates and cutlery. Our family room was huge and nicely decorated. Commutation with the management was flawless although we never met in person.

We were not prepared for the poor noise isolation though in hindsight it's not surprising as the building was an old mill :) Anyhow, one could hear everything going on in the rooms below us as well as outside and it's really not that quiet location either as there's an industrial/residential area just around the corner. That wasn't a game changer for us though. Another thing worth mentioning is are the extremely steep stairs - booking the ground floor suite is a great option for those with limited mobility.

So excited to have the opportunity to sleep in a windmill (and the same room as Dean and Nala - if you know, you know!). This was the most comfortable bed in our week long bicycle tour. We were also able to store our two bikes safely inside the mill. Gorgeous, cosy room with a much appreciated Nespresso machine. The decor (those tiles!) was lovely!! That bed. I just can't forget that amazing bed....!

I love this place. It was amazing.

Amazing value for location and very clean. Parking in the front. Loved the view and the experience of sleeping in a mill. Bed was incredible size and very very comfy. Spotless room and very clean. Towels smelled amazing and bright white. Coffee machine in the room with very good coffee.

Terrible sound proofing, we heard every conversation the guests above had, and couldn't really sleep during the night because of their snoring. 🙄 Little bit of a sound proofing would have gone a long way. Also, very hard to reach the rooms on level 1, it wasn't clear from the listing how difficult it would be to go up the steep and narrow staircase, even for young and healthy person. Also, bathroom doesn't have any ventilation or window 🚽

The property exceeded my expectations. Our room was in the second floor, and only an inclined latter was used to reach the upper floors. This was a challenge especially for our 2y old daughter. However even she managed and had fun :) Really nice renovated interior, keeping the old elements of the old mill. From my point of view the conditions where better than a 3* star hotel! => good job on the owners! Very good breakfast which was brought to us directly to the room! Delicious as well!

Nothing to add here, our only regret is that we stayed only 1 night as we traveled further the next day. Its however again on our list for the next travels.

The Mill is wonderful, a special place to stay. The room is beautifully presented. Shower room is a great size and the bed is very comfortable. There is a well stocked coffee making facility in the room and a fridge with a shared microwave on the landing. You climb a steep ladder up to the room as you would expect in a mill. Parking is available.

A Nespresso machine isn’t particularly suitable to use for making English breakfast tea. A kettle would be better. Cups supplied are small.

Great location good shower, beds old authentic building full of character good views from rooms

lighting was a little sparse and the lighting not great, this did not impact on our enjoyment of the location, the lighting seems to be a theme as we also stayed at another 4 star hotel in the netherlands and the lighting was also an issue in this other location but this did not impact on our enjoyment of the properrty. The access to the rooms was a little steep !! but a real unique and enjoyable stay at a fantastic venue.

lovely windmill with good interior design and lovely outside space. great bath!

you can hear a lot of noise from room above, they were up moving about before 6am. there is a gap under main door so when someone open the front door of the building you do get a bit of a draft. no mugs only espresso cups minor point but would have been nice to drink a cup of tea or larger coffee.

N/A--did not get breakfast. Beautiful print-curtain in room with paintings of common birds in immediate area. Room clean; nice bed; good security locks. Very nice Moroccan couple (Fatima and ?Mooard) running the show. Very nice grounds in an appropriate setting of a molen (windmill). Nice walking distance to restaurants, grocery.

The stunning windmill and its adjoining garden warm one’s heart. What a delight! The chic decor in the room impressed us.

The windmill’s location next to an industrial estate brings tears to the eyes. What a disappointment.
