Hotel Monticello

Staff are all accomodating and proactive. In the pool area, bar and breakfast-you would really feel the hospitality. It is clean even the under the bed is clean (accidentally need to get something under the bed cause a toy went there). Clean cr and rooms.

One thing I would want them to improved, is their breakfast rules. Sleepwear is not allowed. Some people prefer to eat breakfast first before bath and other preparations for the day, so it should be given. Maybe just put a distint that sleepwear shouldn't be too revealing or generally decent. Kids should also be understandable if wearing PJs during breakfast. The bedroom slippers rule too, cause sometimes people forgot slipper or rely on hotel slippers. Aside

Staff are nice. Location is very accesible from the highway and there are a lot nice restaurants nearby. Lobby is spacious and nice. Pool is heated with kiddie pool. Love the massage as well. Buffet breakfast is good. I love that they have fridge inside the room as well. I wish it was stated in the list of amenities as well.

Beds are small. We were booked at the 3rd flr and our view is ugly, the aircons and walls are blocking the view. Had to call the maintenance at 12 midnight because aircon isnt working well. But they were quick enough to fix it. I wish their holiday buffets are safe for everyone, less seafood or at least more options for those with allergies.the bar by the pool isnt open. And there was no life guard around unlike in other hotels. No one offered for beach towels. Parking isnt that big and may be crowded and full on a peak day

Location was good, close to our event venue at Summit Ridge and near SkyRanch. The hotel was quite not crowded with lots of open spaces, creating a very relaxing environment. Rooms were very affordable and I love the penthouse even the Firenze with a small living room and separate sleeping areas. The heated pool and videoke rooms was a plus.

Only comment would be for the time for the use of pool and gym, as they open only at 8am and closes at 5pm. This usually dont allow for people on business trips to avail of these facilities. Recommend to make some adjustment in opening and closing times, probably earlier opening time for the gym, and a little later closing time for the pool.

This is my second time staying at this Hotel, it's as good as I remember it!!! The staff are all very friendly, yet professional and efficient!!! It's not always an easy balance, but somehow they manage to achieve it!!! We usually stay at the more famous and certainly more expensive Taal Vista Hotel when we come to Tagaytay. Now we wonder why!!! Apart from the balcony and view of the Taal Volcano, the massive difference in price is not worth it. Much better to stay at the Monticello Hotel and spend the savings on drinks and meals out!!!!

The food was exceptionally good. The breakfast buffet was different each day. The rooms were clean, t.v. channel selection was good, daily room service was completed promptly and efficiently, pool was warm and clean, and all staff were very professional, helpful, and accommodating. Rooms were a nice size and balconies were nice! The manager took time to greet people in various places in the venue. A nice touch!

The sign on the road was not easily observed while driving.

Comfortable king size bed in an overall good hotel providing all amenities you need for your stay. Convenient for business travellers. Decent Breakfast included. The place was empty during week days, but i suppose it may be more busy on week ends.

Rooms are not totally fresh anymore, so may be time for some modernization. Not the best view in Tagaytay.

The hotel is clean and smells very nice the staff are very attentive and very professional. The rooms need are clean but needs minor maintenance the furniture needs attention. They all look so worn out with scratches everywhere. The sliding door to the bathroom in room 516 gets stuck you need some force to open it. The safe in 316 is out of order. Otherwise everything is good.

Furnitures all look worn out. Need to be updated.

We are a family of four and each one of us had his/her own bed! My nephew was delighted with the room. There were free amenities as well- slippers, bathroom kits and water. We all like the breakfast buffet. There were lots of choices from the food and drinks. Pool and gym were also in the vicinity of the hotel. There was also a garden to enjoy. Staff were very friendly, courteous and attentive. They were the first staff that I know called to check after we check in to see if the room was functioning.

The room was spacious, clean, nice balcony, ample space for parking. The staff are friendly. They have a nice bar at the 2nd floor where you can chill and have drinks. The price of the food was surprisingly cheaper than average Tagaytay restaurant.

Breakfast buffet needs improvement -very limited options. Same with the bar at the 2nd floor; the cocktail drink taste can be improved. I think they have some issues with staffing - when we arrive at the pool bar, there's no one at the counter

Loooved the room and everything in it. Stayed in 2 rooms. I requested for adjacent rooms but it was not possible. Probably because of the structure where the rooms are situated in different floors depending on the size. It does not affect my view anyhow. In the room that we stayed in, there was a balcony. Rooms were cleaned daily. Very easy to find. Sky Ranch was near.

The food in the restaurant. Breakfast (included in the package) was less than mediocre. My parents ordered ala carte for lunch and they were not happy.
