Forest Hall Guest House

Exceptional location, very quiet and calming - a good escape from Gauteng. Beautiful gardens in spite of the inhospitable weather. I liked the room layout and very spacious for a solo traveller. Ample parking and a 24/7 management presence made one feel secure.

Breakfast felt like boarding school and both occasions I had to help myself to the "cold" section as no one appeared to be serving from the kitchen although the staff were very busy preparing food. The "free"wifi was spotty, depending where in your room you were.

Perfect location; neat and clean area, close to airport and also close to a shopping complex having good eateries, and away from the crowded boardwalk area. Spacious clean rooms. Good tennis court. Absolutely perfect hosts who went out of way to make us comfortable, give packed breakfast in the wee hours and got us a cab too. Highly recommended, we would indeed be staying here only, when we visit next.

The location is safe and convenient. The facilities are comfortable and clean and beautiful 😍 The staff are amazing and kind.

amazing area for kids to play

mosaic swimming pool has very sharp tiles that need attention to, kids got hurt a few times. no chairs to sit under trees, only couch there was dirty. Room was a bit dusty and had even chocolate wrapping paper under one of the beds. one of the curtains was broken, just felt like property hasn’t been closely attended to.

A beautiful house full of character, lovely huge garden with old trees, very spacious bedroom with big beds and mattress heating (!) - tastefully decorated, excellent breakfast served by the very charming manager. She was also very helpful in recommending a restaurant for dinner nearby.

This is an amazing property with an old mansion with a large garden with a pool. Very quiet area. The rooms were very comfortable. The host were really helpful. Breakfast was really good.

not much to say here. You need to have a car to move around in that area.

The staff was friendly; breakfast was good. The large open garden; swimming pools and tennis courts are a great addition. They accommodated all our needs even helping us when we urgently needed cash for the "tooth fairy" to pay up 😊

I have stayed here before as does my brother and his family, and we keep returning as we won't stay anywhere else when in PE. David and team have created a magical and tranquil place, a wonderful retreat for a getaway, a holiday or for business. Comfortable, clean and everything you can ask for. Staff are wonderful, David himself is awesome. Very highly recommmended

A relaxing oasis in port Elizabeth. We stayed for one night between Addo and Nature’s Valley. David was so helpful with so many wonderful recommendations for us in Port Elizabeth but also for our garden route trip. Rooms lovely & breakfast delicious!

Only thing which was a bit upsetting was that breakfast stops being served at 9am. I wasn’t informed of this and I arrived at 9:01 and all was cleared. However, when I spoke to them they made allowances and made me a hot breakfast. It would be helpful if the timings could be advised verbally when checking in or if breakfast timings could be extended until 10am (check out time).
