Staz Hotel Jeju Robero

The location is excellent, mid in the center of the city, close to Dongmun market with many restaurants, cheap transportation, can be easily reach from Jeju airport by bus, e.g., bus 365 (cash is required without possibility to return the exceeding money so be prepare to have a 1000 KRW notes). Taxi is very cheap, e.g., 5 Euro from hotel to the airport (can pay by card). People are extremely friendly. There are many historically interesting places in the island.

There are limited choices on foods and fruits. Most restaurants have similar dishes and very spice. Foods in supermarkets have very limited choices and are expensive, e.g., 2-2.5 Euro per liter of milk. A cup of coffee or tea costs between 5-7 Euro. Wind can be very strong.

Location was excellent. Right in front of the pavillion. Very near the market. Walking distance to the black pork street and fish street. Room and bathroom were big. Looks newly renovated. Soft pillows.

The two male employees at the reception were not nice. I have been to many hotels in Korea and they were the only ones who never greeted nor said thanks. When I checked in, the male employee didn't return my passport. I told him to return my passport. He kept saying OK. He didn't even look at me. His eyes were on the computer screen. I had to tell him like five times more to give back my passport. He simply said "check in ok". It was very annoying. I got nervous why he didn't want to return my passport. After saying the same thing many times, he finally returned my passport. Inefficient employee

Location is great. Jungang Underground Shopping Center is just nearby via a nearby underpass. Using the underpass, you can reach Chilsung-ro Shopping Street easily and the black pork street lined with restaurants selling black pork. We walked about 20 minutes to Yongduam Rock as well. We are a family of five and the room we booked is just nice for us. It was cleaned and towels were changed everyday.

Perhaps due to language barrier, I wish one of the staff at the reception could be more friendly. The service I received from him paled in comparison with other hotels I had been to. Then again, it is just one staff. The staff who could speak Chinese was more patient and able to explain why he couldn't arrange for an early check-in.

We were able to check in quite late, around 10pm plus after arriving at Jeju from Seoul. The bus took 10 minutes to reach the hotel at night. Check in was smooth, the staff can speak English. The staff also helped to call a taxi for us when we wanted to go Hallasan early in the morning and when we wanted to go to the airport. The hotel was comfy, it was clean, bottled water was provided and the staff would come in everyday to make up the room. I found the stay enjoyable.

The bed had sunk in at the center. I think it was just bad luck that the bed was in such a condition. When I went, there were also mosquitoes inside the room which affected our sleep on our last day. Had thought that a spray can inside the room was an air freshener but it was actually mosquito spray.

Great location. Underground shopping street just right outside the hotel. Black Pork Street is less than 10 mins walk. Airport by taxi is only 15 mins.

The front desk staff especially the male staff are not helpful at all. The female staff at least have smiles and try to help. Need to pay 5000 won if you need extra pillow.

No toothbrush provided. Toiletries were lacking for a 3 star hotel. No cold AC, had to open a small window for ventilation which was not great.

Location is very central to shopping markets and restaurants Like the underground link with shops. The link exits take you to places you want to visit. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful.

The hotel room is a bit older. Would love to have an extra pillow as the pillows are a little too flat.

It is walking distance (~15min in the cold) to the night market, which makes it very convenient. The hotel itself seems a little dated in design, but still tidy and respectable. There were also water coolers on specific floors for water refills.

The armchair in the room was stained, so we didn’t sit on it.

Much nicer hotel than expected for the price. Decent size room and comfy bed. Nice shower. Fridge included and kettle. Great location for exploring jeju city- everything walking distance. Parking lot which was handy. 10 minute drive from airport. Amazing art space/coffee area/ bar on 2nd floor.

Would have been nice to have some tea or coffee in the room.
