Hotel28 Myeongdong

Beautifully designed, absolutely loved the studio/film theme of the hotel. I cannot say enough about the staff, particularly Hannah who went above and beyond to help our family. We were completely blown away by her generosity and her attentiveness. The entire staff was exceptional! I highly recommend staying at this amazing hotel. In all of my years of traveling, this was the absolute best experience I have ever had in my life. Thank you!

Great location minutes from Euljiro il-ga station and Cheonggyecheon stream. Restaurants, retail shops and convenience stores right at the doorstep. Lots of underground malls to walk to. This hotel has connecting rooms which is perfect for families. An excellent base for exploring Seoul city. A continental breakfast with bagels, bread, cereal and milk is provided (collect to eat in room). The room window look out to a row of fried chicken restaurants and we were expecting it to be noisy in the evenings. However, the sound proofing was quite good and we were not disturbed.

You have to draw curtains to secure your privacy in the shower and bathtub area. The curtains after closing still had small gaps at the ends.

Very friendly staff who greeted us the moment we stepped out of the lift to the lobby. They speak good english and able to understand our request. As we needed to be isolated in the room before the PCR results are out, the staff assisted us to purchase some coffee and brought it to our room. Popcorn, masks and heat pack were given to us as a welcome gift. The room has the standard facilities and had good wifi. Wine glasses and wine opener was already available in the room! Location is nearer subway but a little further away from Myeongdong Station, but that is fine as it was actually nearer to the Shinsegae Departmental store nearby. The overall stay was pleasant.

It was a little hard to locate the hotel as our taxi did not bring us direct to the lobby. But that is fine. There were BBQ outlets just outside downstairs, it may be a little noisy if you open the window.

From the moment we stepped in we had a very good feeling about the hotel and staff. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was very stylish, it was spacious, clean and warm. We will definitely go back there when we go back to Seoul.

We loved the theatrical theme of this hotel, and were lucky on our first day in the life to meet the owner and his father, the actor in whose honour the hotel is designed. So lovely that this friendly family are showcasing his work (his awards and lots of photos from his films) and Korean film. We had a corner room. It was very spacious with large windows on two sides and a view of the streets around us. We loved the sitting area, amazingly opulent bathroom with separate large shower and smart toilet, excellent bedding, pillows and linen, and generous supplies of toiletries and free mini bar. We have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

No complaints. Except the extremely hot, humid weather!

This was without a question one of the best stays we ever had. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was just excellent. Always smiley, always helpful. Nothing was an issue. Our room was facing a wall of the next building which they apologized for, asked if we were ok with it and proposed to change if we would find out we don't like it. As we just arrived in Seoul, it was actually perfect and we did not mind the absence of daylight, as out main goal was to sleep off the jet lag and gather our strengths for sight seeing. The breakfast was absolutely delicious every day, they prepared you fresh sunny side up or omelet and drinks were great too. Minibar had everything you could imagine and it was all free which really comes in handy when you need to relax and don't won't to worry about a thing. The bed was extremely comfy and we slept like babies. Also let me mention that the bathroom was amazing. We had a shower and a bath tub and a toilet with a heated seat and bidet. I mean what else do you need? When we moved to our next hotel in Busan we realized nothing was good enough for us because we got spoiled at Hotel28 :) We finished our stay in another accommodation when back in Seoul and no need to say we had regrets and we kept thinking about Hotel28! Next time we will stay just here. The location is hard to beat as it is located in the very heart of Myeongdong and the staff treats you like royalty :) Thank you so much to everyone!!

If I would be really nit picking, the AC system is a tiny bit annoying, but nothing that would even remotely make your stay any less comfortable :)

Excellent location for Seoul! There're everything just around you. The Market, shoppings, food, fried chicken...it's also in the centre of link for transports. Funny enough, the mixture of offices in the area allowing us to see the real Korean...

You should let your client use your facility i.e. the restaurant without worrying about the money it would bring as they are already your clients! Being too money driven has been our greatest downturn for a very long time.

The location was excellent with easy access to two metro lines and in the heart of Myeongdong. There are chicken and BBQ restaurants right out the front and street food on the next block. The young gentleman who checked us in was very helpful. We also loved the complimentary minibar and movie theme of the hotel. It was very cool and felt very boutique. The set up of our room was modern and better suited to couples as the bathroom was frosted glass and the sink in the room. This was okay for us and we find this very common in modern hotels and the room was comfortable and quiet.

a really great location in Myeongdong, close to subway, buses and all the shopping! All the staff was extremely service minded and so nice! Also English speaking which was helpful as my Korean is very very limited. Room was a nice size and the bed was very comfortable.

The light switches was only by the side of the bed and a little tricky to get to, i wish they would have placed more outlets around the room too, these days there are several devices that need charging so more outlets are helpful. the size of the shower and toilet are too big compared to the limited walking space next to the bed in my opinion. also limited amount of storage space. I was there for 5 days and would have appreciated a closet and/or drawer. Do not eat the breakfast, not even close to value for money.

Hotel28 Myeongdong has the best location! Only a mere 4-5 minutes walk to Euljiro (1) subway station (exit 5 has elevator) and also situated right in Myeongdong with many eateries and shops nearby. Hotel28 is also very well maintained and has a very nice ambience. And most importantly, the immaculate service from all the staff! Especially kudos to the young gentleman who served us during our check-in on 9 May 2023 at 11 am and our checkout again on 16 May 2023 at 11.30 am. My sincere apologies for not noting your name but many thanks to you for the wonderful service you rendered! Hotel28 is and will be our only choice for all our future Seoul trips ! ☺️
