Hotel Montesol Benidorm

Very friendly reception staff, big shout out for Chris who made us very welcome when we arrived and had our rooms ready ahead of time.. Cafeteria had a nice vibe and very popular with locals at lunch time. Rooms whilst simply furnished were large with plenty of wardrobe space. Remote control air conditioning was a nice touch.. we had a small balcony with two chairs which meant we were able to sit outside if we wanted.

There was nothing not to like about the hotel it was exactly as it looked in the photographs. Breakfast choice was a little limited but for 6 euros it was good value, and useful that you could pay by the day which meant we could breakfast before an early departure from the hotel.

From checking in to leaving I did not find one thing wrong at all. The young man on check spoke really good English, he took his time and explained everything that I needed to know, he had a very nice manner. The Hotel can only be described as “Spotless “ the cleaning staff were first class, I sat on Saturday afternoon with a drink in the lounge area, a young woman was busy cleaning, she never stopped working the whole time I sat there. The room was fairly basic, but again spotless and clean, but all you need for a short trip. The bathroom was very nice and modern, the shower was very powerful and again spotless and clean. Breakfast was good and actually very good for a 3 star hotel. Location, was good just a two minute walk and you are at Tapas Alley. All the staff were very friendly and polite. I can definitely recommend the hotel and would certainly stay again.

Only minor thing was no English channels on the tv.

The location in Old Town is very good. Staff are friendly. Not far from Poniente and Malpas beaches. Also close to the pedestrian Old Town area. Breakfast is always good (for me anyway) with a selection of hot and cold food, also fruit.

Have now stayed here 7 times. Each time, the price has gone up, while the hotel is getting further away from its refurbishment in 2014. The quality of the rooms is good, but each time I stay here, I get a slightly lower quality room, but pay more. There are better value hotels in the area and I'm now at the point of thinking, if the price goes up anymore, the familiarity of the hotel will no longer swing it for me to stay again.

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as we aren't early risers, but a few of the girls took advantage of the hotels cafeteria on the ground floor that offered take away coffee and croissants. They brought up to the room and enjoyed on the balcony

We should have asked for extra pillows. One pillow not enough in most of the groups opinion.

Clean, comfortable beds. Room basic but reflected in the price. Friendly staff, good location away from the noise but easy walking distance. Lovely balcony

The loud dragging noise of the lift was annoying. Everytime it was called, the noise would start. Needs a service or a fix! We had to leave ar 730 to get transfer. No facilities open to get even a coffee.

Couldn’t fault our stay here from start to finish. Extremely friendly staff. Very clean, excellent facilities. Very good value for money, 6 lads came for a weekend away. Perfect location 15 min walk to strip and 10 min walk to the beach. Check out time of 12 which was brilliant. Staff in bar on a night were brilliant, had great banter with them.

Nothing at all. Couldn’t fault anything

The room was bright , lovely large terrace. Very good location, beach is in the walking distance 3- 5 minutes, there are many shops and cafes. Administrator Marianna was very helpful and friendly, thank her very much!

menue is poor, the pastry and backing stuff was not nice, no fresh crossants, peaches were spoiled in the busket

I liked the location , half board and the cleanliness of the hotel. It was also very quiet and you could hardly hear a pin drop at night Food was great and staff very friendly

I would give it 10 out of 10 if it had some outdoor space as I like a pool area . That was the only downside
