Park Hotel San Jorge & Spa by Escampa Hotels

The location of the San Jorge Hotel is impressive with a splendid Seaview , I would thank all peronal of the hotel for all the help and collaboration to make my stay fantastic.

WIFI is not always stable

The hotel was very clean and our room was the perfect size for us. I booked a room with an ocean and it was very pretty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great, there a path right down to the beach from the terrace. We also used the spa while there and it was very relaxing and a great price. It was about a 20 min walk to the center of town at most, but it doesn't feel that long. We ate a lot at the "Craft Room," which is about a 10 minute walk towards town from the hotel and I HIGHLY recommend it. The Tapas Bar at the hotel is very good and has great options.

One issue we had was another guest had a dog in the same hallway we were staying and it was barking constantly and running up and down the hall off leash. I do think there should be more control over dogs that stay there or separate "dog only" halls. There is also a lot of noise all the time. We could hear people next door to us talking, people in the room above us walking, shutting doors, and moving chairs at all hours of the day and night. I was woken up at 3am quite often from the noise of people walking in the hall, slamming doors, and moving furniture. We did request a "quiet room," but obviously that did not happen.

The hotel is situated in a great location with great views and privacy. IEasy 🅿️. I travelled with my two dogs and booked a room with balcony with sea view. I arrived at 13:00 and the staffs checked me in straight away no hassle .My room was very clean , good in size with big balcony and I especially liked their pillows very comfortable. It has a tapas bar where you can sit in or outside the terrace with the view to the sea, I’ve enjoyed their cocktails frozen margarita and Sangria which were delicious. The waiters were friendly and attentive l They were busy but not lacking on the service. They have facilities like pool , spa etc but didn’t get the chance to check them out, I was just happy sipping my cocktails and soaking in the view and the ambiance. I travelled with my two dogs , we enjoyed our walks on cliff and rocks. It is a short walk to where the bars and restaurants if you want the crowd and energetic atmosphere and come back to your sanctuary. Excellent stay!

The new cheap bedroom renovations are crap - sticky-back plastic (fake wood grain) coverings on the doors & walls, Linoleum floors in the bedrooms, Fake painted aging on furniture. The hotel traditionally was all marble, mahogany & noble materials - The new interior decorations are cheap rubbish. The hotel needs to up its game if it wants to keep its Porsche & Mercedes clientele.

Hotel has wonderful views from everywhere and is set very close from multiple beaches. (the closest is just down the stairs). Room was clean. We really enjoyed tapas restaurant and the swimming pool. Personnel was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast could be improved. Not many healthy options. Everyday was exactly the same food. Dinner in the main restaurant was ok but nothing special either. Bathroom needs some modernisation.

The location of the property was great; stunning views from the room and their restaurant. Very good location; close to the city center. Front desk staff was sweet and helpful. Good food and cocktails. Parking was available on the property for extra 8 euros a day.

The biggest sour point was the room; it did not at all look like what the photos show. We booked the Comfort Double or Twin Room with Sea View, but it was extremely small in size. We had 3 suitcases and it was hard to fit everything in the crammed space. This caused us some discomfort. Restaurant was a bit understaffed and it took forever for a someone to come take your order.

We had a very comfortable room with a view of the pool. We didn’t book a sea view or balcony room as knew we would be out a lot. The room was a good size with a big comfortable bed and the pool view was an unexpected bonus. We ate out most nights but enjoyed the buffet breakfast everyday which included cooked breakfast, continental, fruit, cakes and more! It was lovely to be able to take breakfast outside to the terrace overlooking the sea.

An information brochure may have been helpful with local information such as telephone numbers for local taxi firms and the whereabouts of the taxi rank in the town centre. It wasn’t in an obvious place and taxis were not easy to find. The reception staff were very helpful however and booked taxis for us and told us how and where to get the bus to Barcelona.

Excellent location: close to beaches and close to city center with shops and restaurant in Platja d’Aro. Parking right outside of the entrance. Nice pool area. Nice view of the sea. Good breakfast.

Pool area closed early. For the price and as a 4-star hotel we expected more: like fresh coffe instead of coffee machines. Larger spa menu. Better view from the terraze (others had great views).

Lovely piece of coastline

Breakfast was fine but the food for lunch and dinner left a lot to be desired and really let the place down. Hard to understand when everything else is so good. Stayed 3 nights. To get away from the food tried both adjacent hotels, which were enormous and looked really impressive; one - Hotel Cap Roig had simply terrible service, shocking really so we left, the other would not accept outsiders only their own guests even though they were basically empty

Lovely position on the Costa Brava with many interesting places to visit nearby. The hotel has lovely views as it overlooks a very pretty bay. It was good to have the option of swimming in the pool or walking down the 90+ steps to the beach! We did both as in early October the sea is at its warmest and the two little coves were almost empty. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast, you could sit outside on the terrace or inside if it was a bit chilly. Our room was well equipped with kettle and a small fridge and plenty of storage space and there were good quality toiletries in the bathroom. The staff were helpful and friendly and everywhere was very clean.

The only quibble was the evening menu did not change but that did encourage us to walk into the centre of Platja d’Aro where there was a good choice of restaurants.
