Exe Alfonso VIII

Location, comfort, value, cleanliness and staff. This hotel is a staple of the city. Now under the EXE mgmt, it still retains traditional furnishings and has been upgraded. As a group of 3 adults, we were on the top floor with a wonderful terrace with great views of the cathedral and mountain rage (Santa Barbara). Restroom was a little small, but great shower, toiletries, bidet, and quality towels. Partnered Parking facility was very, very close. Main Plaza Major right around the corner. Highly recommend.

Unloading bags was a bit tricky. Using a small side street with flashers on the car worked out though. This inconvenience was minor and found throughout my travels in Europe in large and small cities.

The bed was huge and very comfortable They gave me free breakfast each day because I didn't need the free parking. Unexpected and appreciated. Mini-bar fridge, safe, desk with power plug nearby, excellent WIFI, A/C and TV - all great

There was no laundry service at the hotel and apparently no outside service they could direct me to. No way to get a coffee in the hotel - I believe this had something to do with COVID. The mini-bar items were overly expensive, with no price list in the room to let you know what they would cost

parking is in a. multi-storey car park-close by. this car park is a nightmare it took us at least half an hour to get out. the car park and it is too small for modern cars and should be demolished. you could easily damage your car here so take extra care

The staff did not speak much English, which was our problem not theirs, but were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was excellent with only a short walk to Plaza Major.

We had difficulty finding a parking space. It would be helpful if the hotel could add parking instructions to their website which would really improve their service.

A warm welcome, a big comfortable room with a generous terrace, floor 3, secure parking within 50 metres, pick up your ticket from the car park entrance and you pay the hotel as you leave, ideal location for the region and all that Plasencia has to offer. Visit the Cathedral if you can. 4 Euros for a history lesson and some exceptional architecture. Many eating options and bars in the nearby Plaza Major.

Nothing at all. I guess you might say a bit of refurbishment here and there might lift the look of the place but this slightly faded look didn't jar on us at all.

very well located in the heart of the city centre, unfortunately bad access by car and the parking nearby is not for bigger cars.. But hotel staff gives you a warm welcome and the room was big and comfy, although the bathroom was not clean! The breakfast buffet was ok.

The staff was very kind and willing to adapt to the wishes of the customer. For example we wanted to change the room from stree-side and good view to the non-street side. They showed us some rooms to choose. The view was not good at the inside but I prefer that I can open the windows for fresh air ventilation and still have it very quiet (at the street side it is quiet only when windows - which have excelent noise insulation - are closed). They provided some furniture to our needs (added some chairs etc.). Bath room excellent and spacious. Big closet for clothes. The beds incl. matrasses were truely comfortable (8-9 of 10 points). The hotel as such is quite nicely decorated. The breakfeast was quite good and attendance excellent. The location is super-central and the *included* parking garage at the other side of the street; very comfi and convenient.

The room that we had was not as "luxurious" at it seemed at first glance from the fotos. The table a bit small. No frig and no watercooker in the cathegory I´ve booked.

We had a bit of a dispute about the cost of an extra night but that was sorted in the end.....

This is our second stay at Exe Alfonso and we again had a very pleasant experience. Easy parking availability, the location of the hotel and the size of the family room was just perfect. Clean hotel with a friendly staff. Breakfast was also lovely too. Would definitely stay here again.

Large room with an outside terrace (which we weren't expecting). Friendly, helpful staff. Good parking (in a public car park opposite the hotel.
