Scandic Kiruna

Everything is beand new, super comfy beds, great breakfast, perfect gym and very friendly staff.

- Windows could not be opened. - Bathroom door needs soft close system - Very limited dinner choice in the restaurant

Very good hotel in new Kiruna. very beautiful view from the rooms and in particular for the bar at the top of the building or from the sauna. Very high ceiling in my room

Not well organised regarding the parking. There is a payment parking in the same building but the staff was not able to provide any information about it. The free parking of the hotel is in a field on the other side of the road, but also there no info on how connect your car to the electric plug. Disappointing. Basically no furniture in the room. Cost/value ratio not very good

Got upgraded to a larger room which was really nice after a week in the mountains in small and crowded cabins. Nice breakfast.

The room didn't really seem properly cleaned. There was toilet paper and a contact lens "case" on the floor in the bathroom. Made us unsure of if the rest of the room and bedlinens where clean/changed. Only serving buffet for dinner in restaurant was a disappointment. We went for dinner another place (which wasn't great either). The bartender on ground floor was inexperienced and had few options of wine and drinks. Roof top bar had more options (according to bartender), but wasn't really a place to sit and relax and play cards.

The comfort of the hotel. Friendly staff who try to make the best of your stay. Comfortabel beds. Beautiful view from the sauna and Top bar. Supermarket and some simple restaurants near by. Good breakfast buffet.

The room was too hot. 23dgr at night gave me a headache and at -20 outside was a big contradiction. Area is still in process of construction but getting to be nice. Bad public transport from the airport of you arrive on the eurowing flight from Düsseldorf. And in the weekend the local busses to the old centre go once 1,5hr. Old centre is getting empty and not much to do.

Nice rooftop bar with a great bartender. Public areas were super nice, great decor. Breakfast included coffee as well, including espresso (at the automated machine, but was decent).

Some reception staff (not all) barely spoke English. Breakfast was mediocre (cold omlettes). Because of how the floors are arranged, your room could be very far away from the elevator - we walked a fair bit every time. Even though it's in the "new" city centre, it's still far away from the city and pretty much everything you might want to do - the buses are sketchy, so it could be that walking for an hour to the city is faster.

We stay for 3 nights and the room was never cleaned

Great location, right next to the bus stop from the airport and to the old town and train station. Room spacious and very clean. Sauna had great views. Nice buffet breakfast/dinner and lobby/restaurant area. Staff very accommodating for a late check out which really helped.

I had to wait a while at reception for check in/out, there was no one around on both occasions and when asking other staff for assistance I was told to just continue waiting. However when staff did arrive they were polite and friendly.

The location, you can cross the road to the bus stop and take the bus wherever you want. The hotel really helps you with information about which bus to take and at what time. The bus is also waiting to take you to the hotel from the airport. The breakfast is excellent, the room is big and the shower is nice and comfortable.

The room temperature, we can't get any colder, remains at 22-23 degrees. So hot! and the window has no cock and cannot be opened.

the breakfast in this hotel was superb. The personal was friendly and helpful. Check-in was super quick and the rooms were clean and comfortable. On the top floor is a Sky-Bar with excellent views over the city and the distant mountains. Wish that all hotels were like the Scandic in Kiruna.

There was nothing that we did not like in this hotel.

It has everything need in a walking distance - shops, restaurants, bus stop and the airport is very close. we had 2 different rooms and both were pretty big with large bathrooms, restaurant and bar are also nice with a good variety of food and their sauna and gym are with nice view.
