Boutique Hotel La Couronne

Great historic location right in the middle of the amazing historic town, spotlessly clean small parking garage right next to hotel. We had 2 nights in a very quiet room (with AC) in the annex (above the garage) , as it is separate from the hotel, it gives it a more private feel, and it is right under the massive cathedral walls. Distance to the hotel is a 20 second walk, it's really right next door. Excellently renovated, without losing the historic ambiance. Breakfast selection was limited, but all fresh. Staff was amazingly attentive and friendly. Will surely come back, highly recommended.

The staff is super helpful and friendly, the hotel location is perfect. The hotel provides limited parking space (secured and clean) so make sure you prebook if needed. our room is nice and clean with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast is with plenty of options. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, the food is very good.

Everything was just perfect. Very welcoming staff, all young and professional. Beautiful historic hotel in a perfect location. Very nice restaurant downstairs with delicious dishes. They were very kind to keep our car parked after check out so we could have a city tour in the afternoon. You can see St.Ursen Cathedral from the windows and Saturday market, rich and colourful, starts right at the hotel's door! Very good beds and pillows, slept like at home! Good breakfast. Compliments!

there was nothing we didn't like.

This is the second time I stay at La Couronne Hotel with my family, and it wont be the last, and there is a reason for that. The staff is exceptional .. friendly and very courteous .. I have to mention Mr. Suter, who is extremely professional and provided us with all the assistance we needed, and more, and made our stay pleasurable.

Beautiful historic hotel next to the cathedral. Room was immaculate and tastefully decorated. Rooms at back very quiet. There are a couple with terraces basked in the sun in the afternoon. Breakfast buffet excellent. Dinner in the restaurant was very enjoyable. All of the team were exceptionally welcoming and service was excellent. The hosts were present and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely go back. The hotel does have a few parking spaces in the former coach house however there is also parking a couple of minutes away outside the gate to the town.

Fantastic location; access to hotel by car quite easy; convenient private garage next to the hotel. Fourth floor bedroom with magnificent view of cathedral. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent hotel restaurant.

Breakfast: bring to the table coffee and tea pots, rather that serving coffee or tea in cups, especially when using individual tea bags and hot water. Not a way to serve a proper cup of tea.

Beautifully decorated in a contemporary way while respecting the historical features. Delicious restaurant: we had lunch and enjoyed every bite of it. Perfect central location in the cute old town of Solothurn. Comfortable bedding and great noise isolation.

Our room was on the 4th (last) floor. The windows are a bit smaller, so if you like it bright and light, ask for the lower floors. The breakfast was normal.

A hotel with amazing history, having seen Napoleon as well as Thomas Mann visiting. Nicely renovated, tastefully furbished. Perfect location in the historical center of Solothurn. Very friendly staff.

The wooden floor, while contributing to the historical ambiance, needs some maintenance. In the room it made squeaking sounds when walking, and there were places where it had been fastened with some nails, some of which would stand out a tiny bit - but enough to hurt one's foot. In the staircase, there are some unusually big gaps which don't look nice. Breakfast - compared to how strictly social distancing is enforced in many other hotels during Covid-19 times, the regulations applied here seemed relatively loose. Yes, tables are put in distance. Yes people wear masks. But around the buffet and at the coffee machine there were really crowds with no distancing at all. This left us with a somewhat uncomfortable feeling.

The room is very comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Even if some equipment is missing, you can easily get it (I asked for an iron for example). All the staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good.
