Utopia Resort

The location was great and very convenient to what we needed. Could always park our car in from hotel also big plus. The beach was great, always chairs awailable👌. The room was quite big and AC could be always on 🙏

The housekeeping staff did not speak a word of English and it was quite hard to communicate with them. We we’re trying to get our cover bed sheet changed on day 3 or 4 due to a stain and spoke to multiple staff about it and it never happened in the 10 nights we stayed. Kitchen staff also had limited English (but better) and we had quite few misunderstandings/wrong orders etc around breakfast due to that which made us feel uncomfortable. The breakfast lacked variety.

This is the best place on Koh Samui i have ever been. Location is perfect! Bungalows are so close to the beach (about 30 m:)) and there is so close to the city and food markets and restaurants from here. Near by is also muay thai camp (5 min walking). Utopia has its own restaurant on the beach where we ate every day good breakfast. There are lots of trees and nature between bungalows. Its quiet place and the space between houses enaugh to find intimicy. For sure i will came back to Utopia next time!

The resort is awesome. Everything is very clean, the location is really good and the stuff so friendly and helpful. We stayed in Utopia the first time 6 nights and the second time for 7 nights. Both bungalows were great. Everyday you get a room service with new water and fresh towels (for the room and the beach). The pool area is lovely and the pool is clean. The beach area have sun beds and is also clean. From the bungalows you have a great garden view from the balconies. The AC in bungalow number 3 is working pretty good. The bungalows are quite comfortable. The bed is really big, the fridge works fine, there is a safe and the bathroom is also great.

In bungalow number 9 the AC isn't really good. Sadly you have to run it nearly the whole day to get out the head. People from outside can use the sun beds at the beach too. That didn't bother us as long they're paying for using them or get some drinks and food at the restaurant. The stuff should be more focused on that because often they didn't order anything, just the hotel guest don't have free sun beds anymore. The English communication could be better.

Great hosts, it's a family run resort with own beachfront area and lovely gardens all throughout. Room 32, Deluxe Bungalow with Garden View. Clean bathroom, wardrobe space with plenty of storage areas. Bar fridge, kettle & hair dryer. Very comfortable queen & single beds in room. Lots of power points. Wifi worked great in room and pretty well in the restaurant and beach front area. Lots of tables, chairs and banana lounges on the beach front. Toilet and shower down near beach area too. Small pool for relaxing in. Convenience stores, restaurants, banks & shopping within 5 minutes walk.

Restaurant closes between 5pm and 7pm but hundreds of tasty food options right outside the resort.

The staff is amazing. The room was cleaned daily, the bedding, towels, beach towels, coffee, and bottled water replaced daily. The bed is very comfy and only a 30-second walk to the beach. The pool was outside our front door, but the beach was the place to be. Close to restaurants, markets, tour services, and the tesco hypermarket (called Lotus). We ate at the utopia restaurant, the Black Pearl, and the New Hut for our late lunches and then at the local market in the evening for a lighter snack or dessert.

When it rained, the drains in the bathroom were smelly. Otherwise, they were fine.

Big clean room. Nice staff. And great access to the beach with chairs. I returned a second time. Good price considering the high season.

There were a few entitled tourists who thought it was appropriate to chat on their balconies (under the influence of substances) at 2am. All rooms are close together. Be respectful when you travel tourists, you aren't at home...

Lovely cabana, big safety box, good shower and bed, no bugs. Right on the beach, can easily visit the room during sunbathing. Perfect location, healthy cafes next door.

Walls were thin panels and could hear everything from outside in the morning. Staff were cleaning leafs with the broom forever and I couldn’t sleep.

Location is good for the beach and the main shops and bars. Staff friendly and helpful and willing to help. Location to the beach and free hotel towels and sun beds great. Shade under the trees if required.

Location was excellent, not far to walk for everything we wanted to see. Bungalows were lovely, beds were very comfortable. 30 second walk to the beach. Staff were very helpful and kind. Restaurant food lovely, great prices and would highly recommend staying there again
