The Globe Inn

Overall charming. Great room and nice dinner & drinks at the pub on the ground floor. Also, they let me leave my bags after checkout while I walked around still. Turns out I had forgotten my phone charger behind the night stand in the room and staff had found it and had it waiting for me when I returned for my bag. Lovely, thanks!!

The shower was on the small size. Also, the pub/dinner crowd could be heard from below when the pub was full. I did not mind at all (it was part of the charm) - it was not loud, but during that time the room could not be classified as 'totally quiet'.

All within walking distance of the train station and several places of interest and a multi-storey car park. Bed was superbly clean and comfortable - I appreciate the firm pillows! Staff very pleasant. Room cosy and clean. Would definitely stay again next time I visit Aberdeen.

Bathroom was a slight letdown as it did not have a slip mat for the bath/shower. Window was also covered by a film with some black mould build-up underneath, so it unfortunately must have been like that for a while. Bathroom was lovely otherwise. I was a bit disappointed that the room didn't have a menu for the restaurant below, or to let you know what was available for breakfast.

We felt very comfortable in the hotel. The welcome was very warm. The pillows were firm (we like that a lot), the beds comfortable, the bathroom well equipped and spacious. It was quiet at night. The included breakfast was very sufficient, freshly prepared and delicious. We would especially like to thank you for the advice regarding our "waiting day" until the ferry. (also the language was very understandable for untrained English speakers). All in all, we can only recommend The Globe Inn

We were located in a great neighborhood for walking and enjoying the many monuments, buildings, churches and the proximity to the Aberdeen Art Museum. Our room was small but clean and comfortable for sleeping. Our breakfast that was included was so good that we ate lunch there as well! The fact that our room was above the restaurant/pub made having a drink and watching a soccer match before going up to bed safe and convenient. We weren't there when there was live music so we didn't have an issue with loud noise. The staff was very helpful providing refrigeration for my insulin and let us leave our suitcases there for several hours after we checked out so we didn't have to drag them with us before leaving Aberdeen. We would definitely stay there again!

Our room was quite small and was very plain, but we were in Aberdeen to see the city so that was really not an issue for us!

Great pub/hotel, in a great location, friendly staff and the place was spotless. Enjoyed quite a few beers in the pub, locals were lovely to talk to, and the beer was lovely! Our En Suite bathroom was quite possibly the most spacious i have ever had in all my stays at hotels, powerful shower which i like, but also the option to take a bath. Any questions the staff were on hand to help, put us in the right direction for a cash machine, and which bus to get to P&J Live, which was simple and is 30 minutes away. Also, dog friendly, which is always a bonus in my books because i love saying hello to new dog friends while having a pint! Would definitely stay again, and hopefully get to try the food next time as it looked delicious. :)

I only have one recommendation, and that's to have a toilet brush in the bathroom. I like to leave a toilet as i find it if you catch my drift :)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Globe Inn and I have to say, it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces from the staff who were incredibly helpful throughout my entire stay. The room itself was immaculate, with all the amenities one could need. The bed was comfortable and the linens were fresh and clean. What really stood out to me, however, was the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. From the front desk to housekeeping to the pub staff, everyone went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was perfect. They were always available to answer any questions I had and to offer recommendations for local attractions. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Overall, I highly recommend The Globe Inn to anyone looking for a luxurious and enjoyable stay. The staff are truly the best and will make you feel like royalty from start to finish. I can't wait to return!

Lovely place,very popular with diners,characterful,friendly staff,great atmosphere,breakfast good.I stayed on a weekday night+bar closed at 11pm but there's live music at weekends so maybe later bar + noise then,but i'd definitely stay there again.Great secluded location yet short walk to Union street.

Only one thing-intermittent loud humming noise for about 6 secs every 2mins or so at night + which became more continuous in early a.m-possibly refrigeration,boiler so can't be helped.But i always just take earplugs everywhere i go just incase

The location, atmosphere, selection of beers and food were excellent. You are in the heart of Aberdeen, but in a small quiet side street that was very peaceful.

The room needs refurbishment to modernise it, but it was more than adequate and was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Please don't think Im being critical, but I do a lot of travelling, stay in a lot of rooms and work in the property industry, so may be too harsh. Id definitely recommend to anyone and would certainly return again as it was that good.

Fantastic and friendly staff. Room and hotel room very clean . Great breakfast. Did not list facilities as superb as I am a big guy and shower is small however this is an old pub and not their fault . It is clean and functional. Parking is available le via an used office car space which may or not be available I future . Approx 20 spaces which may also be taken up with office workers through the day however after work hours should be good . Overall would thoroughly recommend . Good fun and a beautiful old pub in great nic.

Covered in the above which were not criticisms but observations only.

Excellent city centre location but not too noisy thanks to being off the main thoroughfares. Lively pub with a small number of rooms. Breakfast menu was brief but they made me what I wanted anyway. Didn't dine there but diners were spilling over into the main bar area, so obviously popular. En suite was sparklingly clean, and the room had all the facilities you would expect from a chain hotel. The mattress was just on the soft side of my personal preference, but nothing wrong with it. This will be my hotel of choice now for a night out in town.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like, but some might be concerned that there are no staff in the building overnight. Keys are given for an external door to a side staircase for after hours access. I little more character wouldn't go amiss in my view, but I know from reading reviews that some people can't abide the things I would call character.
