Breakfast was continental style and delivered to the room - understandable with Covid restrictions I loved the suite and facilities

The restaurant food I had on the first evening was poor. I ordered fish and chips - an old favourite. The fish was okay but the batter was very hard with a yellow crust underneath, tasteless. It was really disappointing. I did explain to my waitress, but she was unforthcoming with a response. I had a swim in the hotel pool, which I enjoyed. But I couldn't stay in the water for long as it was too cold.

Excellent location, very clean, lovely staff

The gym and pool were under renovation so we couldn’t benefit from them, but we had been warned about it long before the trip so the choice was ours. They didn’t have slippers or a bathrobe in the room, this was a minus but nothing to shade the overall experience.

The total lack of option to have a cooked breakfast. The last time we stayed we had the offered continental breakfast which ok but we didn't do it again because the plastic waste is not acceptable (juice bottles etc) and we prefer to eat in the dining room. Luckily the village has great options for breakfast, at this time of year anyway....

Our suite was spacious, modern and beautifully furnished. staff were attentive and very pleasant. The position above Ballater offers a nice outlook with very short drive to the village. The nearby Cairngorms peaks are magnificent and worth walking in.

We had an excellent room. Beautifully kitted out and lovely and warm. The bed was extremely comfortable. We used the swimming pool each day which was very clean as were the changing rooms. We also used the restaurant each evening, the food was exceptional as were the staff that worked in there. In fact all the staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend it and would definately stay again.

I loved the location and the building was magnificent as was our suit, just perfect and the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and the staff in all department were so courteous and helpful

Perfectly located in a quiet spot in ballater! ALL staff are absolutely incredible! I have worked in 5* hotels and the experience I had here was incredible! We eloped in Scotland just the two of us and the staff made weverything perfect for us and nothing was too mulch trouble for us, please all remember to be kind to us hospitality staff we put our heart and soul into our work and work very long hours! I can not rate this property enough, the suites are fantastic and so clean and spacious! We will no doubt definitely be returning!

The rooms are really nice, clean and spacious.

No room service, you have to carry a meal from the bar to your room if you want to eat in your room. The guy in the bar is pretty weird, hard to work out if he’s shy or just rude. The ladies on the front desk were really helpful, couldn’t do enough for us.

Such a beautiful hotel in a lovely location. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We got upgrade to a one bedroom suite and it was amazing! Very comfortable and really nicely decorated. Bed was huge and really comfortable. Bathroom was very modern and shower powerful. The whole place was spotless and very covid safe. Food in the restaurant was really good although a slightly limited menu. The gym is a good size for a hotel and the pool was warm and clean. Can't wait to return.

It would be nice if you had Robes & slippers in the rooms to wear down to the pool. Pillows were quite hard.

Looking for a place for a couple of nights for the Braemar Games. Good location outside of Ballater. Big rooms, handy kitchenette, great beds and an awesome shower kept us all happy. Great staff always offering to help
