A delightful stay at this gem of a pub in the picturesque village of Waddington. The welcome was warm, the fires were roaring, and the bar had a good selection of beers, IPAs, and drinks. The restaurant currently currently has a limited evening menu, but this didn't bother us because we were going to another nearby restaurant for food, which was only a short walk away & Oli the landlord put on a tasty full-English in the morning. Oliver made us feel at ease, and they are a family-friendly establishment. There is a playpark/football pitch about a 5/10-minute walk up the lane, next to some riding stables.   The view of Pendle Hill is dramatic and picturesque. We'll be back!

We stayed in one of the lodges which had its own parking space. Very clean and spacious.

When we booked the accommodation, we thought we were staying in the pub. On arrival the pub was shut, I had to contact the owner., who did come to meet us, but the pub was shut because it had been sold. There was another pub a few minutes walk where we had to go for breakfast. We did meet the new owners who are very nice but it would have been nice to know prior to arriving the pub was shut.

Traditional pub serving great food. We really enjoyed our roast dinner in a snug with a wood fire. Very warm welcome from staff and excellent helpful service. Room exceded expectations, we weren't expecting to be in The Lodge. A lovely place to stay. We would highly recommend. Thank you!

Confused situation with breakfast. Is it available? When is the local cafe closed? Do you send guests to another pub? We decided to 'self-cater' after walking to the local cafe at Three Rivers (on advise of staff), only to find it closed on a Monday and Tuesday (we were staying on a Monday / Tuesday) .....not an issue for us, but would be a problem for some people. Minor moan!

Been here twice now and just loved how nice the staff are to you on arrival. Also brilliant location and very comfy and beautiful rooms.

Have stayed before and was perfect I would stay again but this time they was just a few issues one not being helped with weather conditions the pipes froze over and didn't have hot water for are stay but the owner was very kind to let us use another room. Also the opening hours of the bar was incorrect as we went to the pub at 9pm on Saturday and was all shut when it states 11pm on its opening hours.

Was rarther disappointed the host wasn't there to greet us when it said check in was after 3.pm. the pub was closed. Not very security conscious as after we rang a contact number and they rang us back to say the keys were in a box behind the coach house. There was no lock on and open to anyone who knows they dont lock it, pluse the rubbish basket in the room either hadn't been emptied or someone had helped themselves to coffee and biscuits.

The coach house was great and so was the bed and bathroom. Just a shame it was let down by security.

Room was nice

Even though we had arranged with the Pub about picking up the keys at 12.00 as we where going to a wedding close by we where left in the pouring rain knocking on the pub door , we where drenched luckily i got a key off the cleaner and made the wedding . On our return at midnight we could not find our room in the pitch dark , fortunately another set of guests let us in there room, even offered us a bed if we could find our room . Room was nice but management need to sort themselves out and i challenge anyone to find the room in the pitch dark

Location was perfect, lovely little village. Host was great, allowed an earlier check in which was great. 10 minutes away from wedding venue, the Outbarn. The property (the 3 bed cottage) was a great size, beds very comfortable and had the facilities we needed for our stay. The property was clean.

Although the property was clean, there were a smell of ammonia in the hall and lounge area. There were signs of a previous leak on the ceiling so not sure if related.

I stayed here as was travelling for a wedding nearby. Staff were very accommodating and gave me the room key ahead of the check in time and allowed me to store my bags in there to avoid me having to unpack the car on my return late at night. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and really big. Excellent night sleep. The shower is fab too. I was only really looking for a bed to crash for the night, but was pleasantly surprised and I'm sure I'll be back. I only had one quick drink in the pub, but it looked like a great place too, nice outdoor seating too. Would recommend!

The inn was under refurbishment, but our room was exceptional. The friendly welcome from Oliver was much appreciated after our long journey from Scotland. The room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of facilities. A modern bathroom with a power shower was just what we needed after our daily walks. Great location to meet our friends.

Parking was available but quite tight at times, but the village was very safe and no problems leaving the car.

We stayed at the Lower Buck for the night prior to a wedding we were attending at The Inn At Whitewell. The Lower Buck is situated in a great location 17 mintues drive to the venue, staff and local residents are friendly and the views are picturesque. Everyone we met throughout our visit to Clitheroe, especially at the Lower Buck were genuine and warm. We had a great stay at the Lower Buck, staff were incredible and attentive. With myself and my partner being vegans, this can usually complicate trips away, this didn't deter Oliver and the staff in any way, they catered to our dietary requirements. Oliver in particular went out of his way to supply vegan options for breakfast, the service was above and beyond. We look forward to visiting Clitheroe again and exploring this beautiful area of the UK further. Thank you Oliver and the team for a wonderful stay. Christine & Dom
