It was cheap, the bed was comfy enough, staff were friendly and you can access the room without going through the pub

The surrounding area is quite noisy on a Friday night. You couldn't access the bed from both sides in the room we booked, which makes it difficult when you both regularly need to get up in the night to visit the loo. Took about 40 mins if faffing to get any sound out of the tv - had to access online forms to find how to fix issue which was at the end of multiple buried menus. The room fan was very rickety and noisy (and didn't really help with the heat anyway) so had to sleep with bathroom window open, but it looks straight out onto the street so no privacy for naked sleepers! Sash on window in bedroom was broken so wouldn't stay open, it kept slipping shut with a bang. There were mystery stains on the wall.

The room was very comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

I should have checked there was no breakfast, I had kind of assumed there would be, but I guess it's up to me to check. I would have like a kettle in the room because I cannot work the coffee pod machine that was in the room - and there were no instructions for how to use it. The cleaning staff found me a spare kettle in the morning and that made up for it. Again, I should have checked about the kettle when I first saw the room.

Great place to stay, was a short notice booking and hadn't really looked into it. Far better than we had expected; we were really pleased. Room was really clean and tidy, furniture and decor all new or very recent. Shower was good and the bed super comfy with the bonus of Sky TV. Took us a little while to work out the fancy coffee machine, but we got there 🙂. Every member of Staff we met were lovely, friendly and helpful. Missed the food because our day of walking took longer than planned but the Balti house next door did a great meal; highly recommend them. All in all a great place to stay and value for money.

Nothing to complain about......

the staff were incredible. they were just fun and really nice. the people of the town really enhance your stay there. my fiance and I are travelling and this is the first place we stayed at (while attending a wedding) we only stayed a night but were tempted to stay longer. The towns people were trying to convince us to MOVE to the uk and stay in their little town of Hayle. XD they were great. this was our first experience in the UK overall and we're both POC and were treated most warmly. (people in the bar, around town, the taxi guys from 2 diff taxi companies) The next morning we came downstairs and smelled something amazing. It was their sunday carvery (sunday roast) and so we had that before leaving and it was quite nice for only 9.5 pounds. a nice lady outside gave me her spare lighter and i'm grateful to her too. everyone there was lovely. Facilities - the bathroom was reallly clean. that's something I'm always paranoid about. (just that i saw some dirt inbetween the toilet seat and cover but i guess we cant reach or touch that stillllll - should be cleaned a bit more there) Noise- idk what people were on about in comments before but we didn't hear much from the bar downstairs and it was popping when we came back and went to bed. lol maybe we were a little further away. i think we were directly above the kitchen rather than the bar/ bar.

hmmm. maybe the room could have been a wee bit bigger but that's just nitpicking tbh. It would have been nice if check out time could have been later... like way later. so that we could stay longer XD will gladly return!

Comfortable beds and large bathroom. coffee machine and fan which was needed as it was a warm week. Some comments stated the noise was an issue but I didn’t notice it although I did stay midweek.

quite steep steps up to the accommodation which would be difficult for some but again not a problem for us. The car park was constantly full so it did add a little stress having to find parking on the road. maybe the hotel could consider some reserved spots for residents?

The staff were super helpful, welcoming and friendly special mention to the manager who moved us to a different room who is just a star, super kind and friendly. The room was brilliant and super comfy bed and the food in the evening was absolutely delicious. Can't rave enough about this place, such a good find.

Maybe a kettle in the bedrooms rather than the coffee machine things but that's just a nit pick from my partner.

Friendly staff, friendly locals, food is outstanding, stayed here several times now and is my go to place when working in this area, rooms are clean and tidy, sky TV in my room as well. The food is what I call proper pub grub, decent price, and the portion sizes are very very good, and cooked like a home cooked meal, can not fault what so ever. Just back from a 2 night stay, could not even finish my steak from the first night as there was so much there. Will def continue using and look forward to my next stay

Room quality is good. TV having sky connection, wifi quality is good, location is really nice and having so many options for outside food/restaurants.

Pub is there at downstairs and lots of noise till late night specially on the weekend as we stayed at Friday night. No lift facility available. Price is too high compared to the overall facility.

Nice friendly staff. Clean comfy rooms. Close to the sandy beaches, supermarket, cafes, pubs. And obviously nice food is served at downstairs restaurant.

Switching on TV was a problem. Couldn't watch it, coffee maker (another item difficult to use) in the room didn't work so we were kindly supplied with a kettle.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spotless and shower was excellent. The bed was sideways onto the wall but minor issue. Was lively at night as a live band was playing, but it's a pub so to be expected. The breakfast buffet was excellent, although warm plates would be an improvement, minor observation. On the whole a pleasant stay and will be back in a months time hopefully
