RioHouse Henley is so perfectly located, so accessible, so wonderfully quiet, and so exceptionally tidy and clean, with contemporary furnishings and comfortable, well-thought-out spaces that help make the most of each room’s modest footprint. Beds are both super-comfortable and roomy, with extra pillows and clean, freshly-laundered linens and bath towels in place and ready to go. There is an electric kettle and a coffee-maker with coffee pods and teabags at the ready. Ceramic coffee and/or tea mugs are of nice quality and a comfortable size. A soft-soap dispenser is in the shower and another just above the sink. I would stay again at RioHouse Henley Hotel in a heartbeat and my friend who travelled with me feels exactly the same. As a rower (single sculler on our competitive sculling team), RioHouse Henley’s location, could not be more ideal — just one block from the river and a ten-minute walk from the incredibly comprehensive Rowing Museum. And (last but certainly not least), literally right next door to RioHouse Henley’s front door is the phenomenal Giggling Squid restaurant, with its exceptional menu, terrific staff, and a comfortable, welcoming, and elegantly easy-going ambience. Lots to see and do in lovely Henley-on-Thames and we so enjoyed our stay at the RioHouse Henley Hotel. Highly recommended!

Loved everything about it!

(I stayed one night using it as a base for walking the Thames Path.) Not what I was expecting - it is basically a bed in a room in a building - but it is a very comfortable bed, in a well appointed room, in a very conveniently situated building ! There is no conventional reception; stairs lead straight from the street door up to the rooms and that's it. I didn't see another person my whole stay. Access to the building and room is via keypad - which you get sent the codes for. The room is functional with no spare room, but very modern. Shower was roomy, water pressure good, wifi good. There are no restaurant / bar facilities but there are plenty of both of those along Henley's streets. There is a lovely Giggling Squid restaurant (Thai) literally next door. There is no onsite parking but there are a couple of long stay options not too far away - either at the station (£7 for whole day at time of writing), or at Mill Meadows (£9 for whole day). Both are equidistant and about 5 minutes walk. Mill Meadows is good because it's a lovely park-like area by the river and there are several breakfast options between it and the 'hotel'. Overall good value for a 1-2 night single or couple stay with great access to Henley and the river.

The room is not spacious, so you wouldn't want to be staying for a week.

Central location - 5 min walk to Station Car Park - near the river and all the shops/restaurants and pubs. Self-service check in was very efficient - easy and secure. Modern design, cosy (not a huge room but designed to make most of space available). Room comfortable, spotlessly clean., comfy bed, large rain shower which was powerful and hot. Couple of mirrors, TV iron & ironing board, hairdryer and towels & soap. Tumbler glasses and wine glasses, as well as water in the mini fridge for tea/coffee (kettle & coffee machine). We would stay here again - for 1 or 2 nights max.

Disappointing not to have a breakfast option - although property is near cafes and shops. Corridors have wooden floors, which are noisy when guests come back late - think a bit of sound proofing would go a long way to ease the issue of hearing conversations as other guests pass by the rooms. Although Air Con in room - temperature would go no lower than 19 degrees - even with the window open instead, the room was (for us) very warm which did impact our ability to stay asleep. Only minor point was that the TV was wall mounted near the ceiling and although great to have one - as it was in front of the tea/coffee etc - my husband (6ft 2in tall) kept banging his head when making tea.

Excellent room in a wonderful central location. Large, spacious room (we upgraded) with a full working kitchen, you could comfortably stay a few nights here. Great shower and facilities/broadband etc. There is no reception but comms are clear, you get a message confirming door entry codes well in advance. There is no parking but again this is clear and we luckily got a good spot close by and just had to purchase a couple of tickets, parking is free after 5pm until 8am just round the corner. There are longer term car parks a short walk away.

Room was very clean and modern with well equipped kitchen and modern fixtures and fittings. Very central with nice aspects from the main window. Near to the river and good pubs and restaurants.

Hanging room in the apartment/room is very limited ,would benefit from some coat hanging hooks on the walls. Wardrobe are very small. Car parking for long stay a nightmare. Recommend using the station car park on there app as you can leave for days.

AC good, clean and working well, clean place, good decor, nice use of space for a tiny room, decent shower and wash basin, barn door on bathroom. nice tough with water nice and cold in the Fridge, coffee too.

only that I had to walk upstairs to get to the room due to my bad leg. info on parking not great as I parked kn thr street but you can only park there for 2 hrs. only the trains station can you park long term and had to get a map and it was a bit far for me with my bad leg. but that’s all. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the location was bang in the heart.

Location is great, just 1 minute's walk from the bridge which was handy as we had been walking the Thames Path from the direction of Oxford. The owner communicated promptly and helpfully at all times via Whatsapp, and was very flexible when it came to arranging for our bags to be dropped off before we arrived and picked up after we left the next day, whilst we were walking. The building and then the room is accessed by secure pin code which was easy to do.

It isn't a criticism of the facility because I knew exactly what I would be getting before I booked, but if you don't like small rooms, this may not be the best place for you, simply because the shower and sink are quite close to the bed and there isn't a bathroom with a door, per se. Not at all a problem if travelling alone or with a partner, but if you are looking for a little privacy to change clothes because someone else is with you, this room only had the option of changing in the shower or in the toilet cubicle.

Liked the style of the place, clear instructions for how to get in etc. The room was lovely with a huge shower. Good facilities e.g. tea and coffee and fridge. It was very quiet when we stayed so don't know what noise levels are like when there are more people there.

The lights were a bit annoying in that you couldn't have only the bedside lamps on without also having quite a bright overhead light on. Plus the views weren't anything special but then it is right in the centre of town. These were very minor things though.

great location and super good value for money for Henley. the room was small, but clean and really cleverly organised to provide everything you need.

there was a nosy restaurant or bar nearby and the music kept going until late. I was very tired and fell asleep anyway, but I can see how that can be annoying. nothing the hotel can do, unfortunately, but something guests should be aware of if staying over the weekend.

Beautifully clean, very well equipped, brilliant owners who went above & beyond to get us in early after we had been walking all night on Thames path challenge. Great location. I have a couple of little niggles in the negative box but more things to be aware of rather than put you off - I would absolutely recommend staying here.

The twin room we had had a gorgeous shower area but it was open plan to the bedroom so very little privacy- possibly much better for couples than friends. like I said the location was brilliant but the pay off is it’s on a pretty busy road which got noisy early.
