Plum and Partridge Husthwaite

Breakfast was one of the best I've had. The rooms and entire place was decorated great to a very high standard. Everything was super clean.

On arrival the information in the room stated the restaurant was open until 8pm (Sunday) We went downstairs to eat at 5:45 but found out that the kitchen had stopped serving food at 5:30 and the bar also closed at 6:30. The staff did make up a starter for us but still disappointed with the unclear information given out to guests upon arrival.

The staff were all helpful and polite. Food was very good with a good bar selection. It was in a good position for visiting lots of places and walks. Peaceful and relaxing. I would stay again but in a different room.

We had to get out of the shower to turn it off which made the floor and mat wet. Instant coffee in the room and the bottle of water only on the first day. It was not replenished. There were no tissues in the room. Breakfast was good but the cereal selection was only 2.

Lovely modern room, comfortable bed. Super rural village location, very quiet/peaceful. Only a few staff around, but very friendly. Very accommodating towards our nervous rescue dog. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and large!

On arrival, we were given a different room to the one we booked. Given the new room was in the pub, rather than the separate Hayloft building, it may have been quieter for our nervous dog had our original booking been maintained. We don't know why we were moved, I think they thought they were being helpful keeping us close to the back door/gardens (which was true & appreciated). However, our dog was disturbed by noise & therefore did bark a bit through the night (which disturbed our sleep). On arrival in our room, we were not provided with a wi-fi code, nor any instructions about breakfast arrangements or confirmation of check out time. No information whatsoever, which was a bit surprising. I would have expected a written note, to help us plan our stay.

Hotel is in a quite little town, more like a boutique hotel/ luxury pub. Food was very good. Cocktails was delicious. Breakfast was awesome. Staff was friendly. Room was very clean. Everything was perfect. If you want to country side escape, you're in the right place.

It was 35-40 min away from York, I searched "York" on booking I wasn't thinking that it'd suggest me such a far place, still it's 15-20 mins away from the Park & Ride. This is definitely not hotels fault though, booking needs to change their algorithm. The only thing I could say, I wish we had better view, the room was looking at roof. But still, it's alright.

excellent decor throughout to a high standard, the room was very spacious with a huge bathroom with walk in shower. Meal in the restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast. The entire place was immaculate and spotless we will look forward to staying again. Would highly recommend and we hope to return. staff were also excellent. it is located in a small village and there didn’t appear to be much else there. We only stayed for the one night but it’s an excellent location for visiting surrounding towns such as Thirsk, Northallerton, Easingwold and I’m sure there are some excellent walks in the area.

we enjoyed a lovely stay at the Plum & Partridge. Beautifully laid out and everyone was very friendly and helpful Our room was lovely and met our needs except for the bed , matress felt lumpy but that is a personal choice. Breakfast could of had a bit more selection but what we had was nice.

Our matress was not the most comfortable and room was cold on arrival but It was soon sorted out by the owner, and our two nights very lovely . Room was beautifully decorated and the pub and layout was really nice Great location for us too. very peaceful area . Do prefer fresh milk in our room but as there is no fridge facility it was no trouble for a member of the staff to give us some fresh milk & peppermint teabags for my husband.

Arrived Saturday afternoon, beautiful quiet location with friendly and welcoming staff. Our room was spotless, warm and comfortable and the entire place was beautifully decorated throughout. We had a few drinks in the bar and desserts as we'd eaten in York and all was delicious. The bed was really comfortable and we slept really well. Breakfast was delicious and again the staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Highly recommended would love to revisit with our dog and walk the local area.

It was a lovely place with stunning views of the countryside. The room was lovely and clean and very comfortable. Staff very friendly and even made sure our room was made available for an early check-in as we had a wedding to go to.

Our only criticism was the service at breakfast time was slow but the food was very good when it arrived.

The first morning breakfast was really good. There was plenty of choice and ample portions. The location was excellent and as peaceful as we'd imagined. 90% of the staff were exceptional in all they did for us.

Arguing with an evening server on the poor quality of the soft drinks when dispensing from the mixer tap. The second morning there was no chef/cook so you ate what you saw. (The waitress, to her credit, was looking after us all as best as she could).
