Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego Mission Valley/Zoo

1. location!!! - close to fashion valley mall, which contained restaurants and well known department stores 2. breakfast was reasonable… even though the eggs were not real eggs :( 3. the suite room was comfortable and spacious for a family of 3. nice kitchen/living room space … along with bedrooms and bathrooms 4. the pool was nice 5. the front desk individuals were friendly 6. I like the layout of the dining space on the main floor (great little fire place) 7. the decor was very nice upon entry

1. the eggs at breakfast were not real eggs and tasted pretty fake …almost plastic like …. 2. the room could have been cleaned better . I noticed dust on the ceiling fans and dust accumulated around the room in various places. 3. the facility charged me incidental fees upon check in AND during check out. when I questioned the front desk , I was told “they were not sure why I was charged twice”. I’d like to believe this additional $265 will fall off in a few days, since no one could explain it… 4. the “store” on the main floor was very limited in their selections 5. I believe I experienced hard water in the shower …also the soap left my skin very dry. very itchy

location is very central and hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. the people working breakfast were great!

parking can be a hassle which shouldn’t be a thing when paying $22 a night. if parking was free I would have no complaints about it but when you have to pay and still struggle to park or park in a temporary space and move it by 10 am that’s just annoying.

The interior of the room and hotel overall is pretty modern. Room has kitchen which is great for staying with families or for a long stay. Hotel’s location is convenient, around 20 min max to different parts of San Diego. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was quite simple, but there were several options to choose. Swimming pool is small but almost always nobody there, so it’s enough space. There’re garage and street parking.

Room was a little bit dirty with black hairs on towels and a hole into the bedsheet. Toilet seat was really old with a lot of scratches and stains. Parking price is $22.

We really enjoyed the breakfast offered in the morning. This was a wonderful option that we utilized every day of our stay. I traveled with my 2 young kids, so this was awesome and helped relieve some of the stress with finding food.

We weren’t crazy about the bedding… mattresses weren’t as comfy as we’d like but nothing to really complain about. The door to the bathroom in our suite was incredibly difficult to open and close. We did find a clump of another person’s hair on the shower/bath wall so that was kinda gross.

The staff and the extras, the nice community gatherings, were a nice surprise. Our room was very nice and clean.

The pool area was often dirty. The bed in my room was very uncomfortable.

I loved the breakfast. It was more of an experience because of all their choices and how comfortable and welcomed we felt there. I also loved the fact that they offered a happy hour social for adults with appetizers during the week. Most of all the location of this hotel is really in the best part. It’s right across from a Benihana. How cool is that!?

I don’t have any complaints.

We as a family enjoyed the double space of the room and the kitchenette. Room was very clean. Staff was very helpful and courteous. We enjoyed coffee and the breakfast. Very clean and staff was constantly checking if there was enough of everything.

If I had to be super picky... it would be the location. For someone that is not familiar with the area the hotel is like hidden. But not an issue that would prevent me from booking again.

Like the location of the hotel. I was 16 minutes away from the zoo, outlet mall, and gaslamp district.

The sheets had to be changed because of spots on them the first time. Once they were changed , I found some dark black stains on the supposed new sheets.

Everything was perfect, except the Entertainment room, where the pool table was, the TV was not working. My kids and I had a great time playing the pool table. We were just disapointed that the TV was not working.

Everything was good. Staff were very nice. Breakfast was the best. Kitchen staff were very nice. We loved our stay. We will come back. Thank you.

The room is clean and very spacious. The people at the front desk were very helpful and accommodating. The place is tucked away so you don’t need to worry about the noise outside. There is a Benihana right across if want to eat or you can cook in your own room. I would definitely go back and stay here again if we go to San Diego again.

You need the front office if your trash is full and you want to clean it. They would send a cleaning lady to pick up your trash in front of your room. Theres not a lot of pool towels if you go and swim at the pool.
