Lucky 7 Casino & Hotel (Howonquet Lodge)

I love that they gave me the room I always stay in,even using Booking.com. my request was sent to the property, and they just said "yes" like it was their pleasure to do so. Unheard of. Friendist people ever at this Casnio and Resort. 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Rating, absolutely gorgeous 😍 ♥️. I still away to this safe sanctuary every chance I get. At least 2x's a month. Brookings Oregon is 16 miles away, with awesome antique shops, farmers market, and thrift stores. Just go stay and find the peace you are looking for. The Sunset is worth the stay.

The front desk lady, Lenora (I think I got that right) was amazing!!! She was friendly, helpful, professional and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We arrive to the hotel later than expected after a loooong motorcycle ride and we’re tired and sore. She offered to keep the pool area open a little longer for us that night. That one little thing really made our night. Other things… the bed was super comfortable, the resistant was reasonably priced and the facility was lovely… and the view from our room was perfect. We will stay here again on our next trip!

The room was so nice and clean, big and comfortable, we had a nice size fridge and plenty of space since we upgraded to the junior suite. The staff was great as well. The food was super scrumptious too, we had 3 or 4 meals there and each one was delicious 😋.

1. The price was a little high, I think. We couldn't get a discount because we used Booking.com and not called directly to them. 2. We tried to do a late check-out, and they wanted to charge $20 more ! 3. The casino, even though was so much fun, they need to change their payout ! We couldn't win anything for the 2 days we were there.

We liked the balcony with the ocean view and that we were able to get tea or coffee with good creamers anytime of the day and night. Specifically, after 2am when I was done gambling and knew I would want good coffee when I woke up. There was also a nice sized mini fridge with a separate freezer.

Very little. To be nit picky, I would say no microwave in the room to heat up leftovers, the bathroom door wouldn't stay open (so I could hear the TV when getting ready), and not enough chairs at the pool area.

Staff was super friendly. The hotel was very clean. Our room was amazing. Much bigger then i anticipated. Bathroom was huge. Pool and hottub were great. Beds were comfortable. Loved the setup between hotel to casino to restaurant. Felt very safe there. We absolutly loved our stay

That there was no microwave in our room. But the community microwave wasnt to far down from our room, so we made due. 😀

No microwave in room. The lady who checked us in wasn't friendly at all, nor helpful. As many times as we walked by front desk to go to casino , nobody every looked up from their phones to greet us. Only staff that was friendly was room service.

We have stayed in a few places on the coast and we were both impressed with everything. It's something we have been looking for and we have now found. We loved the location, the price, the rooms were clean and spacious and had a beautiful view of the ocean, and bathroom shower was amazing.. The restaurant was also great with a lovely fresh menu to choose from. The staff were all helpful and friendly. This will definitely be our go to place in the future.

Cleanliness, location, casino and restaurant

The bed!! My husband and I both travel for work and have slept in hundreds of hotel beds and this bed was the absolute worst by 1 million percent!!!! Our necks and backs hurt so incredibly bad that it caused us headaches and we will be going into the chiropractor for adjustments!!! It’s sad to experience this since we were traveling for pleasure this time😔

I needed a stop somewhere near Crescent City, and Lucky 7's location near beaches and not in a bigger city really fit the bill. Check-in was friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I appreciated having the fridge in the room. I don't gamble, but it was very helpful to have a restaurant and bar on site. I also appreciated the take-away brown-bag breakfast that I could take on the road with me.

The hotel is on tribal land, so they don't have to adhere to California Covid measures. As an immunocompromised person, I would have felt safer if everyone indoors were masked. If the optional masking policy had been clearly stated on the website when I made my reservation, I might have chosen a different hotel. But it was easy enough to keep a distance from people, and otherwise it was a very positive experience.

I absolutely love this hotel, my wife and I stayed here after getting married in the Redwoods 3 years ago, and have spent our last 3 anniversaries here. This year I mentioned it while checking in and they immediately put red silk rose petals and white towels in the shape of swans on our bed before we got to the room. The rooms overlooking the ocean are big, clean and amazing. I’m not much for gambling but the casino is a great time, and the restaurant has excellent food. Stay here and you will not be disappointed!
