Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ocala, an IHG Hotel

- Very clean - Very quiet - There was a team of little league baseball players also staying in the hotel. As boys do, they were loud and playing around and running down the halls. They never once disturbed us. You only heard them if you were in the elevator or the lobby. - Great breakfast - Very comfy beds - A/C didn't wake me up when it turned on and off - Curtains blocked the light and kept the room dark - Shower is great - People at front desk were very friendly - Close to restaurants, stores, and I-75 - Cleaning service automatic every day - I would stay here again, and I have recommended this hotel to other people. I had no complaints.

My husband and I stayed here one night during our trip to Ocala. We arrived Friday evening from Vero Beach. We were riding in the 50-mile bike ride at Santos MTB Trail Saturday morning. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the front desk lady. This hotel provides an easy check in. Everything was very clean and basic. There was a lot of parking. It is very close to the main road but thankfully we did not experience a lot of noise. There is a small snack area in the lobby if you wish to purchase food or drinks. (Hot Pockets, Frozen Pizza, Chips, Ice Cream, Protein Bars, Gatorade, Soda, Bottled Water etc...) We requested a room on the first floor because we needed to bring our mountain bikes to our room. All very convenient. The shower pressure is wonderful! The bed was comfortable. The room was a good size, good ceiling height, and everything appeared new and updated. Our room was very clean. There is a microwave and a fridge. I appreciated the dresser with hooks directly above allowing me to conveniently lay/ hang my clothes for the following morning. It was a little odd that the blind did not go all the way down, leaving about 2 inches. (Not a huge deal). It was ideal for the purpose of our short stay. This hotel is about 15 min drive to Santos Trailhead. We had to be at the race by 7am so unfortunately, we were not able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. I believe they start breakfast at 7am. We were, however, able to grab coffee and a banana in the lobby before we left. There is a convenient WAWA gas station on the way to the Santos MTB trailhead. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

The Blinds (Maybe User Error)

Super friendly staff. I would like to highlight the attention of the girl at the front desk, i forget to get her name, she was there on my check in date and my check out,( black lady) very friendly, affectionate and ready to help. Helpful and efficient staff.The guy who attends breakfast named Yoyi, you should give him a raise. He's the best! It keeps everything stocked and his atención it is very good. People like these make a difference and should be rewarded!.The rooms are cozy, clean, smell good, super comfortable bed and the best pillows. I loved my short stay and I feel that what I pay, is according to the service I received. I recommend this hotel 100 percent.

The rooms were very clean and the bed was amazing!

Unfortunately, both sides of the entrance were flanked with smokers when we arrived. smelled like smoke just walking in. wish the mocking location was not right outside the door. Breakfast was a bust both days. Went down at 7:30 and food was empty. When it was refilled, cinnamon rolls were frozen still, coffee never got refilled, eggs were uncooked. Then, worker was wiping tables, dropped the cloth, picked it up and continued using it. Totally unacceptable.

Breakfast was good, though some things were a little dried out. Maybe breads and muffins need to be individually wrapped. A VERY comfortable bed!

Sometimes the key did not work, and had to have it re-keyed. Internet required reconnecting and signing on each time used. TV cable was not working correctly, though they did fix it upon request, after asking twice. I miss maid service--hope that someday regular maid service resumes. No hot chocolate.

Wonderful. I stayed on second floor. The room was spacious, modern, new looking. It was decorated modern. The shower was huge (no tub). It was spotless. There were plenty of electrical outlets. Very nice traveler touches like a built in luggage rack and huge desk. It is less than a mile off I-75. It has a Cracker Barrel nearby as well as many restaurants and a mall. I ate at Margaritas Mexican and it was delicious. (Free review). The window shade in the photo below has a weird design that looks like it is taped up or something, but it’s just a pattern.

It is right next door to a “regular” Holiday Inn, so make sure you go to the “Express” or you will try and check into the wrong one.

i have stayed here twice. it is always immaculate, looking new. my room had a huge shower. lots of electrical outlets, (a special yay!). clean and breezy.

you do not have an outside entrance, your have to take your gear through the lobby. they do have dollies available. it is right next door to a regular Holiday Inn, so make sure you stop at the Express building !

The chocolate muffins were the best I have ever tasted, very surprising. There was a great selection of breakfast items and the breakfast area was very clean. The staff member who was working was friendly and greeted me and others with a good morning how are you today. I wish I would have noticed her name

Got to the hotel after check in time and was told my room was not available yet. Had to sit in lobby for almost a hour while watching the hotel give people that where walking in after me get there rooms without wait. This was multiple room given out before I received mine. Breakfasts still the terrible hotel food. Wish they could find a supplier that has good edible food. All breakfast items are behind the front desk and the hotel staff has to get it for you. Makes no sense why I can’t get it my self. I know COVID and everything but everybody in the hotel is touching the doors and everything else in the hotel what is the difference if we touch the lids to get our own food.

It is a new hotel and very clean! I liked the dove soap products and working fan in the bathroom. I also liked the coffee maker and options for coffee

There was a seam on the couch cushion that was torn open and food left in the refrigerator from previous guest.
