Econo Lodge

The room was clean and neat. The bed was comfortable. The accommodations are modern and tasteful. There was a microwave and a fridge in the room (we didn’t use either). The bedding was clean. The bathroom linens were nice (not threadbare). There is an ice machine. The noise level was very minimal. There are several restaurants nearby. We’ve stayed here several times and have always had good experiences.

For the value, it was perfect.

The room and the staff were great.

It wasn't a big deal but one of the lights were out and we had a hard time seeing near the bathroom. No replacement bulbs were on the property. I was a bit concerned about the ceramic bathtub; they are very slick; I almost fell while in the shower and have fallen in those types of tubs before at other hotels. I'm afraid this could become a liability in the future should someone sustain injury.

The room was not ready at 3 pm for us to check in. One room was ready after 10 minutes, we were told the other room would be ready in 20 minutes. We checked into our room. We left and came back an hour later the other room was still not ready. Our traveling partner inquired if the hotel was individually or corporate owned? Response was I don't know He then asked if it was American owned and the younger lady said she was offeneded by that question. -

Immaculately clean. Quiet. Friendly staff. Nice clientele. Great stop for the night on my way to the beach. I specified a check-in time, and they turned on the AC before my arrival. They also had cool things in the room like makeup remover and a shower cap.

There’s no cons, really. Breakfast is dialed back to just coffee and grab and go pastries for Covid, and that’s fine. The fridge isn’t on when you get there to save energy, but the staff is so considerate I’m sure they would turn it on for you ahead of time if you requested. I was vaguely aware of the presence of my upstairs neighbors when they first put their luggage down, but the doors are beautifully quiet, and if silence is a top priority you can request to be on the 2nd floor. I mean, I guess the curtains have a gap at the top that lets in some light, but that’s the closest to a con I can think of. Seriously a wonderful, beautiful,, comfy, friendly, immaculate place.

The room was exceptionally clean and pleasant. The fridge was cold. We didn’t utilize any breakfast options or the pool. The ac worked well and the room was comfortable. The bedding was clean and neat. The bathroom was clean and neat. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely stay again.

Everything was good. The options for the price were great.

I loved everything about this motel. The Staff was very friendly and welcoming. They stayed in communication with me before I arrived. They made room accommodations for me and my family. The rooms were extremely clean. The beds were super comfortable and cozy. The motel is in a very convenient location. It sits right in the middle of shopping plazas: one plaza on the left, and another plaza on the right- which consists of restaurants, clothes and shoes stores, sports stores, etc. Both plazas are walking distance from the motel. There’s a Shoney’s buffet and gas station right next to the motel. Also, the motel is only a 20 minute drive from the college that my nephew attends. I’m so glad we stayed at the Onion Inn!

I loved everything about the property!

This was our second stay at The Onion Inn, and it is still a really good value for the price. The hotel is locally owned and operated, and the hotel is the same as any other standard 2 star hotel. The rooms are clean, and not dated, and the property is well maintained. The location is great as there is easy access to plenty of places in Vidalia, and the surrounding towns. The staff is always pleasant, and helpful.

It would be nice to have more options for the “continental breakfast”. While it is nice that the breakfast is free, it is more of a grab and go breakfast rather than a true continental breakfast.

The breakfast was fine, although we did not partake of it. It was mostly a grab and go type breakfast instead of what I would consider a true continental breakfast. The breakfast was mostly things like honey buns, muffins, yogurt, etc. which is still better than no breakfast at all. The beds were extremely comfortable for hotel beds, and the room was really clean. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the room had a mini fridge, and microwave. There was a single serve coffee maker with single serve ground coffee packets to be be used. I was glad to have a shower tub combo, and even more pleased that the tub was long enough for me (a 6ft 300 lb woman to sit in and take a bath in comfortably).

I wish that they had more sugar and creamer for the single serve coffee maker. They had one plastic packet with like one packet of sugar and coffee stirrer, and that was it. I like coffee, but I want it to tast like coffee so I have to add lots of sugar and cream to get it where I like it. They did provide hand and face soap, a shower cap, and lotion, but I did not see any body soap or shampoo or conditioner provided so that was a disappointment. Also, the shower is extremely slippery without the rubberized mat you can put down, and we did not find it till after we had showered and almost slipped and fell (it was located outside under the sink and we did not think to look there as it was not in the room with the toilet and shower).

The room was EXTREMELY clean, very nice hardwood floors, the rooms were extra tidy and very large for the money. We were extra surprised when the room we had even had a wonderful little kitchen area which was kept very clean. Overall, the staff was friendly, the rooms were great and the price for what we got was AMAZING. We will ABSOLUTELY be staying at the Onion inn again next time we are in Vidalia.

Overall the experience was fantastic. I think the only small adjustment I would recommend is some more things for the pool area. Things like more tables, umbrellas and chairs.

I was so glad that it didn’t represent its name it was nice and very clean I didn’t have any issues even when i went to the front to check in the gsr was very nice and it was clean and smelled of clean I worked front desk at hotels in Jacksonville so ik what I expect and I usually don’t leave comments but I have been waiting on this survey I really appreciate it because we were traveling for a funeral and with the room right that was less we had to worry about but the onion in y’all deserve it I have absolutely no complaints and every time I come to ga from now on that’s where I will be staying😍
