Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Lake Charles South Casino Area, an IHG Hotel

Breakfast was very good - trademark HI Express cinnamon rolls are always a highlight... along with "real" eggs!

check-in was a bit inefficient: when making the reservation I'd requested 2 rooms next door or across the hall from each other but that wasn't provided when we arrived. While they were able to accommodate the request, it took the (apparently) only staff person on duty some time to figure it out, keeping not just me but also other guests waiting a bit.

We loved coming back from a smoke area to your quiet, clean air non-smoking motel. We did not think we would enjoy not being in a hotel environment but it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The distance was not that far away from the two large hotels.

Just that you did not have towels ready for us the second night due to not having enough workers in the housekeeping department. Your motel is so very nice and with your outside competition being heavy, you need to offer more pay to the workers to keep them and make competition for the others in your immediate area. Mothers especially would be appreciative.

The location, the incredible cleanliness, the wonderful style of the building, and friendly staff!

The shower curtain rod was way too high. Therefore the shower curtain hung above the tub and did not retain the water over spray into the tub. over time this will cause structural issues from water getting into the cracks around the floor of the bathroom.

The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and comfortable.

The breakfast wasnt what I expected. The eggs were dry, there was no juice available only milk and water, the potatoes were not tender at all. I feel the hotel needs to do better on the breakfast for the money that you pay for your stay.

Everything was as expected for this type of property.

On day 2 of our stay we didn't get any room service even after room service was requested by the manager at 3 pm that day. I was given well used towels at the check in desk at 7PM that evening after another request.

My Mom had heart surgery at local hospital. We had been awake since 3am so we were exhausted by the time my Mom was settled in SICU around 1pm. Due to the circumstances, the mgr allowed us to check in early so we could get rest. The room was very nice, clean and cool. Everyone was professional and very courteous to my husband and I. Great location a well

Location was key to getting around area we were visiting with well lit parking lot people were extremely friendly and helpful

Water pressure at facility was poor for bathing and showering only complaint for our 2 night stay

Property was BEAUTIFUL and clean! Breakfast was my favorite part of both days. Most of the staff was super friendly and helpful... the room was immaculate and sooooo comfy that I actually took a nap midday and missed part of family function!

Loved everything, our stay was great and we will be back next month

The location of the hotel was close to the casino, shopping, and restaurants. The breakfast was exceptionally good. The front desk attendant was very helpful and nice.

The pool was small and workout as well.

The Hotel was new and clean. It is located with easy access to everything. The breakfast was good.

The only concern was that there were about two other hotels all close together. Constant traffic with buses loading and unloading.
