Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Washington, D.C. East - Capitol Heights, MD

Room was very clean and bed linens were fresh and smelled great. Any staff we encountered were very courteous and friendly. It was outside DC enough to where it wasn't a pain to park or get away from the city to sleep but also wasn't a pain to get back in to the city via Uber.

The surprise $100 "damage deposit" that isn't listed anywhere in the initial booking page or confirmation. We were concerned as this was above and beyond the price of the room which we had already paid for as soon as we checked in and there was no prior notice that this would be necessary. We are above 30 and not untrustworthy young people so I felt it was dodgy to blindside your guests at check in knowing their only option is to stay and accept this charge or go home as no other places would be affordable enough to stay last minute. I will happily update the review once it is either refunded or I get a reply from the hotel confirming whether I can expect it back. This could change my overall rating completely.

The propery was super close to the venue that I was going to for a sold out concert. It made getting to and from easier. The room was spacious with two king beds. There were late night food options in walking distance. Staff was friendly.

When I went to take a shower, I found two used hotel soap bars on the one shower shelf. The hotel shampoo was fine, but the conditioner had a weird texture. Not sure how old it was to look like that. Made me wonder if there was anything else missed during cleaning/restocking.

I love the night and morning desk receptionist. They were the best help we came in late and was able to get us in our room seemless there was a 100 deposit which expected and he explained it very well . In the morning we had questions about brakefast and Glenn gave us all the info the rooms were clean and beds were comfortable and the ac worked great being tho maryland was so hot that weekend the 3rd floor was very quite and we slept great thank you we will be back again

The house keepers can use some work we had to keep telling front desk about them

The location of the hotel was perfect- right off 495 and near 3 Metro stops.

The breakfast was non existent - the 1st day only waffles and bread were available. We went out for breakfast the next 3 days. The housekeeping staff did not respond when asked to provide services. We has to get fresh towels from the front desk each day.

the easy check-in and out. the convenience of being able to use a debit card if you do not have a credit card. I also like the fact that it is right next to a 7-Eleven not just next to a bunch of restaurants but a 7-Eleven where it’s like a convenient store but I can you know get warm food if I don’t want to go to an actual food restaurant.

The thin walls. maybe sound proofing would help.

The front desk associates were super friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Check in and check out were effortless and quick. The whole hotel was very clean and well maintained. Our room was ready at the time we requested and they even allowed for a later check out time if we needed. The hotels proximity to Fed Ex Field is awesome. Everything we needed during our stay was nearby, most were within walking distance. Our room was clean and well stocked with towels and extra pillows. We will most definitely stay again and next time bring more people. 10/10

The staff was all very pleasant and helpful! We didn’t have a hair dryer in our room but we called them and they brought one right over! Very close to Fed Ex Field and a shuttle van picks you up and takes you right over and brings you back!

Our extra lock on the door was broken ☺️ but we shoved a chair up against the door and our room was near the desk. There was no continental breakfast. There was cereal, yogurt, apples, juice and coffee.

My room was changed quickly when I had an issue. The front desk staff member, Dashk, was very attentive and nice. He listened to my concerns and acted accordingly.

I requested a non smoking room upon booking and the room I originally got, wreaked of the smell of smoke. Also our bed skirt was ripped. There was burn marks on the floor.

The place was very clean and tidy, but what we liked the best was the friendliness of the staff. They were top notch.

I would have liked a selection of coffee mates for my coffee...............but that is a personal preference. They had half and half which was fine.
