The staff was truly excellent! We were checked in by the most friendly, welcoming, and cheerful Attilio, who settled us in and helped us with our inquiry for the sightseeing. Marcello helped us with the heating in the room. And Alberto the front manager made sure we were looked after by the team. Georgina the weekday breakfast lady was friendly and caring. She did not just do her work but made sure we were well taken care of every morning with her. The cleaning ladies were also friendly and courteous. The room was spacious and well decorated. Lots of storage space too. The bathroom was also very spacious. The breakfast room was also pleasant. A coffee machine is provided for the guests to use. There was also a very nice sitting room/library on the mezzanine floor. The location is terrific. Right in the middle of the old town Sal Telmo. Several shops and eating places around. Close to the Market. And close to a subway station.

Only one small thing. The weekend breakfast lady (who shall not be named) did not refill the food even when we had over 20 minutes of the breakfast hours left (but was very eager to get our room number). When I tried to ask for more food (very politely and in a friendly manner) several times, she either did not try to understand me (she doesn't speak English) or willfully ignored me. At the end when I went into the kitchen with my plate and pointed at the boxes of cheese and ham, she tried to tell me that the breakfast was finished. I had to show her the watch so she could see that there were 8 minutes left before she grudgingly opened the box and gave me food at last.

My three grown children in their 20s stayed here for a week at Christmas. They were very happy with it. They reported that the staff was always friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for them. They all highly recommend it and would stay there again. My kids' Spanish isn't great, but the staff were patient and everyone managed to communicate. Some of the staff were fluent in English and some were not, but all were kind and patient.

No negatives.

Great location a lot of restaurants near by and also very close to the airport I flew to and from. The staff were all helpful and any questions I asked they were able to answer. They also allowed me to leave my bag at reception after check out because I had a later flight, which was appreciated.

I found in my room that the Wi-Fi was inconsistent. Breakfast not included.

The room size was great, the bathroom however had a shower door that closed in on you when showering so had to wedge in place with towel. Was very clean and once shower taps figured out water was plenty hot enough and did not run cold all time I was in the shower.

The toilet door was glass and had dropped on hinges so could not be fully closed, I was my own in room so made no difference to me. However, the shower door kept swinging inwards whilst showering so had to wedge in place not helpful. The meagre breakfast was neither filling or wholesome with the same every morning, no choice was given or offered.

Great security and friendly polite gentleman working the front desk reception. Love the rustic look throughout the hotel.

Bathroom is tiny. I don't consider myself a large person (176cm, 70kg) but it was a tight fit taking a shower right next to the toilet.

there were problems but the staff more than made up for these issues. They worked hard to resolve them and were very responsive.

No heat. very cold at nights. They had a repair person work on the heat for the whole complex. finally the last night we were there we had head. The good news is that there was hot shower water. It was very clean. Amazing location. Very beautiful wood floors which were maintained very well. the building was maintained well.

We stayed 4 nights. Room was big and comfortable. Location is good in a nice district with lots in walking distance and easy buses or tube to anywhere else.

It's not really a 4* hotel - finishes a bit too rough for that. But still a good value for money base in BA. Only thing that sticks in the mind was booking a taxi through the reception desk though was very expensive vs what we paid elsewhere in Argentina.

It’s an overall charming and safe hotel in one of the nicest areas of Buenos Aires. Very friendly staff. The Internet was very good.

The rooms need some renovation (especially the bathrooms) and new furniture. The breakfast was OK but very limited selection.

As returning guests having experienced a good number of accommodations across CABA, this has become our default as the check in is effortless after initial registration and the staff are always welcoming and without hesitation to assist. Good hospitality goes along way & the staff here provide it naturally. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the setting a calm oasis against the juxtaposition of a very authentic & lively bario.

On this occasion, our room, albeit beautiful & well maintained, was directly above the street which was busy with the cities goings on. If sensitive to sound, ear plugs will help or request a room at the back at time of booking, the staff are only too happy to help.

This is a very artistic, charming hotel in colonial style. The outdoor court spaces are beautiful, well designed and cared for. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are pleasant. The location is superb for San Telmo.

Aside for the air conditioning problem that got quickly resolved we were extremely pleased with our stay.
