The room was obviously upgraded and renovated & a pleasure to stay in - the bed was comfy & the room was clean and tidy. There was a mini bar with the staples and the bathroom provided liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner and even shaving lotion ( a welcome bonus). We had dinner in the restaurant which was charming and the staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive, and the food was excellent ( our kudos to the sous chef who was working solo that night as the head chef was unwell - well done chef 👍) - our whole experience was positive and pleasurable. Our thanks to all the staff ( from Reception to Restaurant) who made our stay a truly pleasurable experience.

This is the second time we have stayed at the New England Motor Lodge. The rooms are really good. Very clean with comfortable beds and hot showers. The icing on the cake though is the Restaurant. That is the real reason that we make sure we travel through Glen Innes and stay at the Motel.

I find that the shower screen is a little too short and that the water from the shower always floods into the bathroom. Other than that there is nothing that we don't like about the Motel.

Fantastic position, no road noise. View of the pool. Stayed in the self contained apartment. Loved having a bath and a decent sized bathroom. Kitchenette was handy. Beautifully appointed apartment. Need bigger glasses to drink from is all 😊

Bed was a bit “soft” for our liking but comfy enough for short stay. Can’t please everyone in that respect. No screen on the sliding door, but can see it would have been there before the new locking system. Screen would be nice in the warmer months whilst overlooking the pool etc Dinner at the attached restaurant was not bad. Fire was almost out when we arrived and not tended to until we were walking out the door though. Seemed to be plenty of staff to tend to it. Our waitress was a bit “abrupt”. Young lady behind the bar was great 😊

The bed was plush. Best night's sleep after a long day on the road. Clean bathroom, extra pillows, iron and ironing board were fantastic. The small things that we missed on our trip outback were what we needed.

This place exceeded our expectations. It was one of the best places we have stayed in so far, particularly because the last place we stayed in was hot, uncomfortable, and bad for our backs.

Breakfast was amazing!! Dinner was great! We had the chefs specials and they were absolutely stunning! Our room was great, very comfortable. Throughout the short stay the staff were super friendly

When turning on the shower it was like a hurricane had started. The water was super high pressure and was a little painful while also some parts where pushing out mostly air causing the hurricane effect.

We could not fault this motel - everything is so clean, and very good quality. A comfortable nights sleep, excellent pressure in the shower and walking distance to the town. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, I really appreciated the extra care taken by Belinda to ensure our group had what we needed. Rooms were very quiet too.

Breakfast service was slow, but delicious!

I had a bilateral knee replacement a few weeks ago and I was so impressed with the bathroom facilities. Also impressed that the air conditioner was on and the room was so warm when we arrived. And the comfort of the restaurant, the lovely lounge chairs and the fire. Added bonus was the excellent food and staff.

There was not a thing to dislike.

We really enjoyed our night there - There is a beautifully furnished, comfortable lounge/bar area and the restaurant meals were very good. Lovely old English style furnishings in the lounge bar and restaurant, and the king room was modern decor with a very comfortable bed.

The shower was only half closed in with glass and the water overflowed onto the floor, which really isn't a problem for guests but for the cleaners.

After having a very bad day travelling booked the motel on Expedia and from the minute we drove into the driveway the staff couldn’t do enough for us very friendly exceptionally helpful meals were to die for room was great very comfortable bed decor was great beautiful decor would highly recommend this motel to everyone and would certainly go back there again I would say driving from Cairns to Nuriootpa on SA it was the best of all the accommodations where we stayed at well done New England motel and thanks so much

Nothing everything was exceptional

A rear gate, that would have allowed easy access to the main street of the town, was not operative. This meant that one had to walk a quite a long distance to the front of the property and then back down a side road to reach the main street. A lock that could be activated by a room key would allow this gate to be used, but still provide adequate security.
