Rest Point Motor Inn

I used to work in the Restaurant 24 years ago and it hasn't changed much. Was please the room had a microwave and toaster as we were staying 10 nights and this helped. It is also close to our friends place so it was easy to visit them. The cleaners were great and changed out towels every day unless we said we were fine. Which was a surprise.

The shower was really noisy when you turned the hot tap on (lots of banging pipes) and you couldn't adjust the temperature very well if you didn't want the noise. So you had to have a hotter than usual shower. 1 of the lights over the table didn't work

Good area, walking distance to Main Street for shopping and eateries. Staff went out of their way to organise a microwave big enough so that we could sterilise our baby bottles, nothing was a problem. Pool looked clean and area very tidy. Nice grassed area for kids to play. No highway noise. Had pizza from across the road for dinner and sat on bench outside our unit and admired the sunset. Value for money.

We were in a 2 bedroom unit and found the seating situation in the kitchen a little difficult. Perhaps a breakfast bar on the wall with bar seating would be better than a table and chairs? Otherwise nothing to add.

The room was very roomy and the location was lovely and quiet. The bathroom had a lovely big shower and was nice and clean. The heaters / fans worked well and all appliances were provided. We had a meal at the restaurant which was really nice. The staff were helpful and chatty leading to an enjoyable stay.

Nothing I didn't like. I could have stayed there longer but we were really only passing through.

The family room has one large bedroom with AC and a flat screen tv. The second room has 3 single beds, a fan and a flat screen tv. The "kitchen" has a fridge, toaster and coffee/tea making facilities. The bathroom is large and the shower works great. 10 minute walk to the supermarket / bottle-o (but you can buy beers at reception). The place was clean and comfortable.

The onsite steakhouse was expensive and we had a 50% success rate with our steaks. The poor girl running the place was there alone and quick to tell anyone who would listen how much she hates her job.

The room was very spacious and we liked how we could swivel the TV from the living area to bedroom facing. The reverse cycle air-conditioning kept us cosy overnight with the early morning chill kept at bay.

No crockery or cutlery set to make breakfast with. Considering you provide toaster and microwave would it be too much trouble to provide a bowl and spoon for cereal or knife and plate to butter toast? Room 12 - the toilet cistern has a slight leak into the pan and the you can hear the water fill for a few seconds every 5 minutes. Noise kept at bay overnight by closing the bathroom door.

it was quiet because there was hardly anyone there so we had the back to ourselves. Reception staff were excellent

it is old but there was a newish lounge and a table with chairs in the deluxe queen room. bed was too soft and the older inverter makes an annoying noise when it moderates the heat during the night. like so many other comments, the steakhouse was closed on a Saturday night! it was actually hard to find somewhere open for dinner in this town but the motor inn was recommended and it was nice food.

We asked if there was somewhere to change our clothes and freshen up as we had travelled for a long time and had a function to attend. John advised they would try their best to have the room ready early. We had time to relax and have coffee before our luncheon in our roomy two bedroom unit. A pleasant stay.

Screens on the front door would have been great. We’d loved to have let the breeze in but the flies wanted to join us.

We just stayed three nights to attend the Top of The Range Murray Grey Sale. The management, staff in the restaurant were extremely friendly and made us feel so welcome. The food in the restaurant was first class. Rooms were fresh and clean, we couldn't believe that they actually come in every day, clean and make the beds. It was nice an quiet. Highly recommend this motel and restaurant.

Nothing we were very happy with everything

The towels were super soft. Quickly shown to our room. Surprised to see the room was serviced during our absence. Very clean and tidy. Air-conditioning was very effective and the rooms were very quiet.

The door had a broken weather strip resulting in a draft which would not have been a problem except that it was -2 outside. There was no ice tray in the freezer and the restaurant was closed on a Saturday night!!

the room was comfortable and well decorated and set out. a delight to be in. Roomy bathroom with all facilities necessary. Kitchen area was well set out. Bed had a lot of comfy, fluffy pillows. and very clean

The Hot water tap was stuck in the sink and therefore we didn't use it. While the bed was so comfy and warm, it was sunken in the middle and needed a new mattress. Good if you like to cuddle with your spouse, not good after a shoulder operation.
