We just stayed overnight on the way to Broken Hill. Very nice staff and really helpful with fitting 2 cars in. Nice to see tea coffee milk AND biscuits all plentiful in the room, didn't have to ask for anything extra,

The shower was a little strange, no door or curtain and water went everywhere. There were some old fittings in the room - lights and radio for example - that were no longer functional - could get rid of them.

very friendly, obliging and helpful owners. Nothing was too much trouble. very tasty home cooked meals. The owners had done everything to turn a rather small, ageing, traditional motel into the very best it could be - refurbished and freshly painted throughout.

quite small rooms and close to the railway line ( there were only one or two trains, one the longest I’d ever seen- neither of which the current owners can do anything about). On the other hand. it is also a leisurely, flat stroll to the Bogan River which is currently unusually full after the Summer and Autumn rains.

Nice easy check in. I was greeted at the reception by a very friendly smiling lady. We had a chat about the town & places to eat. When I received my room key, she then offered me a complementary soft drink or bottled water. I thought that was a very nice after a long drive.

Friendly service at the reception, with time to have a chat. On receiving my key, I was offered a complementary soft drink or cold bottled of water. After a 600km drive that was a nice thought. Comfortable bed, hot shower with a high shower head.

Excellent room, well appointed comfortable and spacious - good to encounter a friendly person at reception who seemed value having my business!

A little bit of traffic noise due to trucks on the major Highway outside but it was not a problem at night. It would have been nice to have covered parking. The deodorising of the room was a bit strong for sensitive noses!

Only a small thing but it contrasted with the friendly welcome - there are very officious signs everywhere - take off your shoes, checkout strictly 10am and so 10.01am they will enter and dispose of your luggage etc. I can understand the reasons for this but the signs are very off putting and as I said in contrast to the welcome we received. perhaps the number and wording of the signs could be looked at so that they don’t appear so combative.

It was a convenient location for our trip. Staff were very helpful & the food provided was very tasty

Overall the motel is a bit tired and needs a spruce up. Bathroom door didn't close & there was a brick supporting the bed on one side.

Excellent location near key parts of Bourke. Good advice from the reception on where to eat when we arrived. Easy check in and check out.

It would be nice to have clearer signage on where new arrivals should park before checking in.

- Due to the time of year we stayed reception was closed so we can't comment on staff, however the check-in process was very easy - We only stayed one night as a stopover from Sydney to Broken Hill so didn't explore too much

I was iimpressed that, when I queried my abiiity to sign into wifi the owner was quick to come and double check where any fault was and sorted the problem with great speed - for which I was very grateful.

Nothing to dislike!
