Very clean and cosy hostel. The staff are very keen to make sure you have the best experience possible. About booking shuttles to the airport or even booking trips. The rooms are clean and have plenty of space. There are plenty of opportunities to chill outside, whether in a hanging chair or by the pool. There are also free pancakes twice a week. The individual bathrooms are also very good. The location of the hostel is also great - 10 minutes walk to the supermarket or even to the sunset spots.  Also, there was plenty of space in the fridge.

Partly the pavement is swept on the street at 6:30am, which can be noisy.

Comfortable hostel, the front desk closes really early so make sure you know everything you need to get in if arriving after 5 or 6pm. Didn't spot the lockbox at first and had to ask a guest through the secure fencing! I had not read all the info in the long email lower down the page so missed the advice about safe car parking; make sure you pre-arrange this with the hostel as the area immediately outside isn't recommended for overnight cars. Otherwise comfortable rooms, clean well equipped kitchen, nice pool.

Staff unavailable after 5 or 6 pm (forget which but it was early!).

We loved the kitchen, super furnished and spacious. Very comfy common area with sofas and chairs. Lots of movies and books available. We had an open air movie night with a projector that was super cosy. Little swimming pool but so refreshing! Great and cold tap water to refill your own bottle. Cheap (cheaper than usual) laundry machines. Good location for a walk to the botanical garden and the anzac hill. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Washing soap for dishes is mixed with too much water.

The pressure of the shower depending on the shower room, the number of power sockets in the room, wet shared fridge, uncomfortable mattress

They let us on the property at rhe bus’s arrival time (~06:45) even if the office opened only at 09:00.. Same with the earlier check-in. The first night was a bit warm, despite the central A/C and since i was gone most of the day in between my two nights, i never got to mention it to them. So upon my late arrival for the 2nd night, i noticed they had added a fan on their own accord and emptied the garbage can (most places wait til someone leaves the room for good before coming in for that, snd then garbage accumulates outside and around the bin. Not here!

Nothing really, but after having a little fridge in other single rooms i have been in, i could have used one here.

The location of the YHA is very near to Todd Mall and supermarket. They have laundry with 4 AUD washing machine and 4 AUD drying machine. There is a free clothes / gear shelf where people can leave and take items. They can borrow fly net and sleeping bag to you if you are going to 3 days Uluru tour.

There isn't discount for activities. The shower takes minutes to heat up. The kitchen is full of flies and the air wasn't circulating so you always smell like food if you stayed there for a while

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, particularly the managers. Anna went out of her way to accommodate me despite late unplanned arrival. I’ve been travelling solo for nearly 3 months now, staying exclusively in backpacker / hostel accommodation and the YHA at Alice Springs is head and shoulders above anywhere I have stayed. Everything is clean, the kitchen is super spacious and well organised. And the pool is a great chill place ! I really enjoy my stay there, Matt and Aimee were so nice. They were super helpful, Matt was so chill and welcoming! They made me feel right at home. Loved my stay in this YHA

Private rooms are comfortable and quiet, staff are very helpful and go the extra mile. We needed help with an early check out before starting a hike, they made it easy to check out early and store luggage securely. The volunteers on hand gave us a hand in the evening after office hours had ended. The hostel is right in the centre of town, and it's easy to walk to the shops, cafes and bars nearby. If you're there to hike, you'll find plenty of friendly travellers to give you pointers, and maybe a few free gas canisters too!

Genuinely the most incredible team in any hotel/hostel environment I’ve stayed in over past ten years! Courteous, friendly, incredibly helpful and welcoming. Right from the online booking, and the front reception to house keeping staff - first class experience. Great facilities too that are incredibly well maintained at all times, great price, great location. Highly recommend to anyone.
