It’s a nice little country motor inn - clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Comfy bed, good shower. The owners/staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the motor inn’s restaurant Red Hide Bar & Grill (Tue-Sat from 6pm), wow what a lovely restaurant in such a small town! It had a lovely vibe, cosy & classy - white linen tablecloths, pretty tea lights on each table. Excellent menu, quality dishes, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Beer & wine per glass very good price, highly recommended. For a Tuesday evening, it was quite busy, probably best to book a table.

Curtains are not block out, bring an eye mask if it bothers you!

As soon as we arrived to check in we were greeted by Victor and Rita at reception, they were both very friendly and welcoming. Later that evening we went for dinner at the Motor Inn’s restaurant. Again, Victor and Rita were serving us and just as friendly, hospitable and professional as they’d been at check in earlier that day. Not to mention the food was absolutely beautiful, I had steak and my girlfriend had salmon, both perfectly cooked. Overall a flawless experience!

Honestly, there’s nothing I could fault about our stay.

It was tucked away from the noisy highway. It had car parks in front of your room and was all undercover, so if it was raining, you could unpack your car without getting all your stuff wet. The restaurant attached had a lot of great choices. On arrival, my original room had a leaking tap and toilet. They changed rooms for me straight away no problems. Very accommodating for my Assistance Dog. Thank you

The dinner menu options were good but I should have been more specific when ordering, I guess. My order with no mushroom also excluded pancetta and parmesan from the menu item that I was looking forward to with my steak . Disappointing, but great steak. Also put the jus/gravy as a side in gravy boat to add when eating, especially for room delivery. It tasted great though. See pic. All service staff were great.

Our room was reasonably roomy with table and chairs, lounge chairs, microwave, mini fridge and crockery/cutlery. The motel is located within easy walking distance of local hotels for evening meals. Toiletries were provided and there was ample hot water.

No actual parking space allocated to our room (because of how the facilities are configurated) and felt a bit uncomfortable being told to take any available space close to our room. Despite the photos shown on the booking site, the dining room is actually closed for meals, however, room service was available for breakfast.

I travel a lot for work and I can honestly say I have never experienced such a high level of customer service. From the greeting and explanation of facilities, to my room that was modern, squeaky clean, all of the amenities you would expect in a motel (plus some sneaky little Oreos) and a super comfy bed. Thinking I had already struck gold when it comes to accommodation, the owner then delivered ice to my room when I could have very easily collected it for myself and then that afternoon when she saw me working on the balcony, brought a me a Citronella candle in case of mozzies. I ordered room service for dinner and again, the service and meal surpassed all expectations. I highly recommend this motel when you are staying in Clermont or surrounding areas.

We have stayed here previously on our road trips, so were well-acquainted with the rooms. Although small for a family of four, it was still very comfortable; ensuring a good night's rest. The room was also very quiet, which was especially appreciated as there was a large contingent of mineworkers in residence (they caused no issues whatsoever). As the restaurant was closed on a Monday night, we were still offered room service for dinner. The manager's recommendation of the Commercial Hotel was gladly acted upon, with a fantastic meal had by all. Wi-Fi has been replaced and is now excellent.

There were no bath towels in our room on arrival. However, a quick chat with the manager rectified that immediately. Thank you.

Very clean. Restaurant on site and room service is available when restaurant closed (mondays). Very good food and coffee available in morning. Easy to find. Staff fantastic.

The robes over the car parks were a little too low for a big 4x4 with racks on roof so couldn’t park outside room. Still, not a drama.

The lady on reception was happy to share where to have tea on Monday night and talked about some sights to see if we were staying longer. We were happy that everything was in walking distance. Scrambled eggs on toast was really yummy which met our needs and taste spuds before driving to Townsville.

The light switch is near the door and every time we or the lady opened or shut the door, the light turned out. There was not enough water pressure in the shower.
