Great location in middle of town, could walk to everything. Next door to pub, short walk to RSL and bistro. Lovely pool area. Comfortable bed.

Shower was very noisy because the thermostatic mixing valves need servicing. (Hubby is a technician) Our room had no view of anything but a wall. Flashing LED light in bathroom.

Excellent place to stay with a stunning pool area. Very good meal in restaurant. Very comfortable bed and large room.

Bit disappointed that the deluxe room was on the street with outdoor access to a shared verandah. The reason I chose the deluxe room and not a standard room was for a private outdoor area which a lot of the rooms seemed to have. Our relaxing time at the pool was interrupted on the Saturday afternoon with a very rowdy group in the smoking section of the hotel (which adjoins the pool area) whose language was incredibly loud and offensive. It should have been very obvious to those behind the bar that they should have been asked to leave.

The pool was a lovely billabong like pool. The restaurant was very comfortable and with a better than expected menu given the remoteness of the location, the food was delicious and very well presented and the staff were friendly and helpful.

There is absolutely nothing to find fault with. I had accidentally booked the wrong date when we arrived so we ended up having to get a more expensive room than we had originally planned but this was not a big issue and the young lady on reception was very friendly, helpful and understanding..

Breakfast menu was good, eggs many different ways. Baked coral fish and a cereal dish with yoghurt and fresh fruit. Location was right in the middle of town. No noise, very comfortable, private rooms side by side with our adult daughter. Great pool.

Well located in Cooktown main street. Well appointed room. Pool area is outstanding, beautifully manicured garden surrounds. Two eating areas covering finer dining and pub food. Friendly staff. Unfortunate loss of water to the facility for most of a day due to a mains pipe breakage but the resort mada it up to guests with free drinks in the evening. A great save - well done.

No internal car parking. Car needed to be parked on the street.

The meals (dinner and breakfast) were perhaps a little pricey but delicious. The pool was very attractive and the water was a lovely temperature for swimming. The bed was comfortable and the surroundings were quiet

Maybe some low-cost light meals could be available, but otherwise there is really nothing I felt was lacking.

Room we stayed was quite noisy one night from the pub patrons next door. A room quieter rom would have been nice. Shared balconies are not really practical. Can’t really use them. Room couch not all that comfortable

Room a bit dated for the cost Restuarant very short staffed and staff obviously having difficulty with orders. Did not know what was on the menu. Told to go to the bar for drinks. Prices reflect high standard, but service did not reflect this

The room and beds were comfortable. The main gardens and pool were lovely and beautifully maintained. The restaurant was good with a pleasant outside balcony.

However the little verandah outside our room (104) faced a corrugated plastic fence and a neglected bit of garden, - mainly an expanse of dirt with a few half dead plants. This was a great contrast to the general gardens and seemed unnecessarily miserable.

The apartment had a spacious living area and while the rooms were not massive, they were definitely comfortable and big enough for a room. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was amazing! Nice and big and the water pressure was really good. It was very, very clean as well, which is always important to me, so I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the level of cleanliness.

The rooms were very dated, but still clean and comfortable. They had some packets of nuts along with their coffee/tea etc in the kitchen, but unfortunately they were all expired.
