The room was really well laid out - with that really great kitchen - with a sink so you can actually wash up properly AND fill the kettle without trying to use the bathroom. Really clean room, nice hit shower, clever decor like the headboard for the bed. Didnt feel like many of the pokey, narrow anonymous motel rooms I've been in. I have major food allergies so having such a beautiful kitchen was a special treat to do my food prep in. Very comfy bed, which I needed guven our packed program of 6 schools and an evening community event over 3days! The lovely helpful friendly managers PLUS gorgeous dog! made our stay so pleasant. I was able to finish my presentation using the motel wifi no worries. Easy walk to pub and country shops like the best IGA I've ever been in. Thank you Starline and Miles, it was a great trip.

Everything you could ask for and more. Clean, cool and comfortable room. Easy and friendly check-in. Walking distance to a number of dinner options. Enjoyed a good night’s sleep and a yummy hot breakfast before hitting the road again. Bonus was that the Starline is pet-friendly and out past the swimming pool, there is a big fully-fenced yard where we played a huge game of fetch to get our dogs worn out and ready to happily sleep for the rest of the drive.

We like/are used to the sound of passing traffic so we’d want to stay in the same room again, but if you wanted a quieter sleep, ask for a room away from the front.

Location, affordability, comfy beds, pool was great but not disability friendly. Staff were very lovely. Let us know the best places to eat for dinner.

Room needed airing out, smelt a bit musty. Needed a teatowel to dry dishes. Couldn't get back in after going out for dinner, had trucks parked across the driveway who were visiting the BP next door, we had to wait for them to finish eating ro move their truck.

From arrival we were greeted so welcomingly. The lovely lady seen we had dogs with us and asked if we would like to be swapped to a pet friendly room. I try to look for motels who are pet friendly so this was great for us. Upon arriving the dogs had done a 2 day drive from mount isa with very little breaks so their manners weren’t on point, they understandably just wanted out of the tray to stretch their legs. The lady was so lovely about it and showed us to a lovely back yard where they could run around, her dog even came to join in on the play which my dog’s loved. Our room was lovely and clean, I can’t fault it.

Pet friendly (thank you), friendly owner, nice clean modern room & bathroom, good layout, kitchenette with microwave & toaster, aircon great, parking directly outside the room, location good (on the highway, but minimal noise). Additional parking out the back, pool (bit cool this time, but looked very clean & inviting). Definitely recommend.

The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. There was a small kitchen area with an extra sink & a microwave, as well as crockery & cutlery. The owners were friendly and gave me suggestions on where to find dinner and what to see in the town. The motel is an easy walk to pubs for food, and to the Miles historical village.

We did not arrive at room until well after chcek in, but staff ensure we were still able to check in to our room. They also went over and beyond g expectations when I left an item behind in the room after check out. Thankyou 😁

Room was only small for a family, but it served its purpose perfectly.

What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL motel, the interior was very clean and modern, it felt like a hotel. The owners were super friendly and gave great recommendations for dinner to take our dogs. There was secure parking for our trailer at the back of the motel with space to let our dogs off leash for a run. Definitely will stay again if we ever pass through Miles again

This was by far the nicest and cheapest motel I stayed in on this road trip. It was clean, modern and bright. It had good utilities, that were also clean and Foxtel. It was like a little oasis at the end of a very long and boring drive down the Leichhardt Highway. Lovely 😊

I liked being able to have my dog stay with me. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The booking service was a great experience and the communication following up on our booking was exceptionally good.

I found the location a little noisy which woke me up during the night. The service station right beside the motel had trucks pulling in and out all night using air brakes. Almost all of the rooms had workers from the mines staying in them, they sat outside the rooms smoking, talking loudly until late at night making it difficult to go to sleep early following our long trip. The mine workers also left the motel at 5am the next day, making noise and waking other guests. This is not the fault of the motel management but is worth knowing if looking for a quiet place to sleep when traveling.
