Good location in the town centre of Weipa yet near the beach (5 min walk), only 2 min walk from shopping centre and Woollies, and across the road from hospital. I'm not sure that I would call this a resort, but it all depends on what a resort means to you. For the location near the beach and grassy area around the hotel, yes, but to me, resort means upperscale, perhaps even luxury. I was not expecting luxury anyway, so to me, this was perfectly fine for what I needed, and I had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are definitely dated but they are clean, very spacious, and with all the amenities you would expect, including a kettle, toaster and microwave so you can be self sufficient with the nearby grocery store if you chose to. Lovely owners and staff members, helpful and friendly. I visited in the wet season, so very quiet inside and outside the building, I can imagine the place would be popular in the dry season. Swimming pool on site although on the day I went to jump in there was a layer of dust and bugs sitting on top, not very attractive but the next day the pool looked clean and inviting. There is a restaurant on site open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Coffee shops recently open with nice strong coffee decent size too and reasonably priced. I got takeaway pizza one night, which was delicious. While waiting for the pizza, I even had time to walk to the beach and watch sunset. Only 15 min drive to/from airport which by taxi was $15 per person. Overall, I was very happy with my stay. Slept very well in the huge bed, would definitely return.

As we were arriving late we were given our room number and the door was unlocked and the key left in the room. It was a large room and bed was comfortable. It had a microwave which I found very convenient and was next door to the supermarket.

Furniture was old. It was over 2klm from the main town even though there was a supermarket next door. You needed your own transportation to get around. Room was expensive I think because of a major event in town.

New couple taken over management. They couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful, literally nothing was too much trouble. Made my stay fantastic under difficult circumstances. Room was clean, tidy and functional for the type of property it is. Restaurant was excellent as was the Wi-Fi.

Not much for the price paid. Perhaps Netflix out YouTube on the TV would have been nice and is becoming a standard these days.

Very convenient location in the centre. A small shopping mall with a Woolworths Supermarket is only a few steps away and the Resort Restaurant and Bar saves having to drive to other places.

The room was large, quiet and comfortable. The location close to the beach and next to shops was great. The outlook was lovely.

The shelves were not clean. The advice given by the receptionist regarding dinner options was poor. The bed was too soft. There was a microwave and kitchen sink but no cooking or eating utensils.

Beautiful Friendly Staff - reasonable late check in times - 10/10 location - Restaurant next door - Woolies across the way - Kebab Van across the highway - definitely staying here again. Perfect for a quick shopping trip from Bamaga. Always busy, frequent police patrol - security - didn't have to worry about vehicle.

On my last day the guest next door interrupted my sleep in talking loudly on his phone - walls are a bit too thin, even if we wanted to be loud hahaha, unfortunately the air vent in the bathroom wasn't working? or we just didn't have one? - would have made the stay more comfy indeed. But beggars can't be choosers we definitely did enjoy our stay.

Good location, signage was clear from the road to find. Shops were right next door, reception was awesome.

Nothing to complain about.

Most comfy bed we slept on in a month! It was king size too. Spacious shower, lots of hot water and good AC. Woolies and the only shops in Weipa right next door.

It needs maintenance which is difficult in a remote location. The coating on the paving had warn off, missing tiles needed replacing on the pool, new bauxite needed spreading on the garden beds and the walls in the corridor that the rooms led off needed a paint.

You are in the Daintree Rainforest. The cabins are spaced around the property so privacy is great. There are carports with high roofs to park a tall 4WD under. The dinning area is lovely and the Cooper Creek flows right next to the dinning area.

No mobile reception or WiFi at all around the property.

Did not have breakfast due to early start.

Bed too low.
