I really liked our room, which was in one of the towers. Very unique place to stay. The hotel is huge with a pretty interior (nice conference room). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice too. Breakfast was good. We stayed there a week ago (mid April) for three nights. It wasn't busy at all (little bit deserted, which I didn't mind). We took a nice walk in the surrounding pine forest and one day it was snowing which made the forest even more beautiful.

First we didn't have proper heating in our room as the radiators were full of air, but after talking to the receptionist they sent a handyman to fix the issue quite quickly so it was all sorted in a couple of hours. Exterior of the hotel needs some maintenance. Windows/façade..etc. A kettle would have been nice to have in the room.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and extensive and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room, in one of the round towers, was large with many windows to spectacular views of the countryside below and mountains beyond. The bathroom and room were very clean. The hot water took some time to come through. Would definitely recommend just on the scenic location and being able to stay in a castle!

This place is surreal. As soon as you see the castle from below, you know you’re staying somewhere special. A spectacular setting with basic but large rooms and a great breakfast. The bar is excellent too. We stayed here to commute to the Austrian GP, which was a very easy one hour drive. Admont itself is beautiful as well.

Wi-Fi signal was no good in the room, but it was a blessing anyway, nice to put the phones away for a few days.

Beautiful surroundings, also the accommodation itself was exceptional with beautiful views, good breakfast and helpful staff. We were also with a dog who was more than welcome there. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend it to everyone who wants to feel like in a castle.

The only thing we missed was the possibility of dinner directly at the accommodation

We had a great stay at Hotel Schloss Röthelstein. We visited on our way to Croatia en had an amazing time here. The view was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Next to that, it was one of our friends birthdays and they foresaw something on the room which was a special surprise and nice gesture that made his day. Overall it was a nice experience and we will come back.

We had fantastic breakfasts. The hilltop location was excellent for hiking. We particularly liked the historic atmosphere, the knights' room, the chapel and the smoky kitschen.

There was no transfer to the hotel organized for those who use public transport like us. We could have preferred a lighter blanket which could not be supplied.

Breakfast was okay. We were visitng in the winter months, but the room and the dining room were nice and warm. Loved the view of Admont from our room. The room was clean.

Bathroom upstairs! The layout of the room was a bit strange. But that is what you get, when staying in a castle, I guess.

Loved the castle!! Loved the village! We wished we could have had a veranda overlooking the beautiful valley below. The hotel address NEEDS to add the first word {Aigen} Because the GPS took us to another address one hour away!! * *Please fix address*

The rooms had a dormitory feel. very bland for a hotel in a castle. There is nothing around and the only food served there is not so good pizza in the evening.

Location, location, location! This hotel is a romantic castle and right up there, half way up the mountain. Which gives an awesome view of the mountains when you wake-up. It is also in one of the darkest places in europe, which means on clear nights you can see the milkyway. Pure awesomeness! But it doesn't end here.. Historically it was a pleasure castle, which means every corner is made to resonate with relaxation and pleasure. From the private sauna, to the dininghall, to the square in front of the castle, it all breaths the freshness of the mountains combined with luxury. The choice you have every day is a walk up the mountain or enjoy the environment and high standard food from the kitchen.

Although we only stayed for two nights, the price was a big part of our budget. But the mentality and perspective it gave us made it worth it. And considering that all comforts were provided it was worth it.
