Easy check-in, nice staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, usually plenty of space to park, close to the highway, a supermarket right next door. Stayed here many times.

There is no option to book a room without a breakfast (this option is available on their website but booking through their website is not 100% reliable - it could be cancelled without notice, which happened to me). Breakfast on weekends is from 7:30 so people like me who want to leave the hotel earlier than that have to skip it even if they paid for it.

Initially I booked a hotel room in Passau but we missed the exit from the motorway so I had to cancel and found hotel Rimo . And I must say it was a great decision. It’s about 4km from the border, there is probably 500 m from the motorway. There is a self check in system at the hotel entrance , we couldn’t use that as our reservation wasn’t showing yet. We called the number , which was displayed on the wall. The lady who answered the phone was very nice , even so we got there around 10 pm she came to the hotel in 10 minutes and she helped us to check in to our room. And the room by the way was a nice surprise, good sized, modern, good taste in decoration. Perfect location , and a very pleasant stay.

There was nothing I didn’t like

Location next to highway, supermarket, restaurant, petrol station. Everything you need when driving through to your next destination or if you want a quiet place for dagtrips in the surroundings. Very quiet. Even if fully-booked, we haven't heard anyone.

No 'lobby' of Common room to warm something in the microwave for our daughter. We left before breakfast so can't comment on that

Good breakfast. Location is close to the motorway. Room was clean and comfy. Quiet and no noise from other rooms.

Rooms were a little cold and cannot be adjusted in the room. Had to get under the covers to be warm. Electronic check-in was good except I had to enter all the info I had already given on booking.com twice, for two rooms. Not sure why an electronic signature is needed when you already have received payment. As far as I know, payment and receipt is legally binding and the signature is pointless. Rather frustrating to have to complete all the booking info again, twice, after a long drive.

Self check in process was smooth and easy. Rooms are new, spacious and clean with huge TV and Netflix option (always a plus) :) easy to find, easy to park in front and nice staff.

Breakfast could use some more options, but it was elementary good. Also, AC in the rooms would also be considered standard this day and age ;)

The location is excellent for spending a night, very close to the highway, but very quiet. The room is nice and clean, breakfast is good.

The self check-in machine doesn't have instructions that you shouldn't put the dots in the reservation number. Also, it doesn't allow cash payments.

There is a "bug" in the "Reception machine"! After I enter my reservation number and pay the room with card, the machine say "payment error", but I receive transaction confirmation on my phone. Then I have to start again the procedure and after the reservation code, the machine recognize the payment and proceed to next step. I's annoying to know that you are charged and the machine want to pay again! First time I believed it was something with my card, but when it happens again it is sure a bug in the machine program!

Very good location, not faraway from the highway. Clean, minimalistic, well designed rooms. Comfortable stairways. Good breakfast in a nice environment. Enough parking places at the hotel entrance.

The self check-in at the entrance could be more intuitive, some guests struggle with it. The list of countries where you choose your citizenship from, is at least 19 years old. Please update it.

We loved our stay here. The proximity to the highway, parking space, big and clean room, ver quiet, comfy bed, lovely breakfast. Everything we needed for our sleepover during a long trip.

There is absolutely nothing negative to say.

- Contact with host via phone and email (both before and after stay) were super friendly with very fast reactions - my 4 year old son was having a (message) chat with the owner too and he was really excited about getting replies. - Check in was very easy with the check in machine, we arrived at the hotel and within minutes were in our room. The room was spacious and staying with our two little children (2 and 4 years old) in the double room was no problem - plenty of space to put our kid's beds. - Breakfast was also a nice surprise: wholegrain along with white bread rolls, wholegrain bread, and sweet croissants, two types of eggs, different yoghurt, mueslis, cereal, and many types of cold cuts, cheese and jam/honey/Nutella. Different juices and milk (happy kids!), I personally didn't like the coffee from the machine but saw later that there was also instant coffee available. Again, well organised - we immediately got a table on both mornings, friendly contact with the staff even though it was quite busy. - Parking spots right in front of the door - Surroundings: there is a supermarket next door, and a (unstaffed) bistro corner with a pizza baking machine and coffee facilities next to it, I think it is open 24/7. A bit further at the roundabout next to the petrol station is a little pizza/kebap place that is open on both weekend days. We stayed from Saturday to Monday, and the little town was completely closed, so we were happy to find the food options above available. There is a nice walk near the river though and we passed a bakery, butcher, and bank close by, so on weekdays there seem to be more options.

It would have been nice to have a kettle and coffee/tea in the room, but that may have been available in the kitchen upstairs - we didn't look since we had a small one with us.
