This is my third stay at Le Merceney Motel which should tell you all you need to know. Dont be put off by the outside view as the rooms are exceptional and air conditioned. The bathroom is large with a very big shower area and the beds are very comfortable. Below is a small reataurant area if you require breakfast and a large shop with a good selection of items at very reasonable prices. Location is perfect to explore the historic town of Bastogne with many bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Also known for its heroic Americn army defence against the Germans in 1944/45 there are many places to visit in and around Bastogne in memory of this and those involved. The American 101st Airborne Museum is a 10 minute walk from here and is a must see destination. The basement simulation of the Christmas eve 1944 Luftwaffe bombing of Bastogne is magnificent and a stark reminder of this towns past.

Nothing, this motel is great value for money, comfortable accomodation.

Very pleased with the value for the money. Initially concerned that the motel was co-located with a service station and cafe, but not an issue. Modern. spacious, comfortable rooms located on the back of the building so it was quiet. Parking was secure. Good breakfast. Proprietor & staff went out of her way to accommodate you. Eating options immediately downstairs, next door or a short walk/drive to the main square.

Only the need to carry my bags up a flight of stairs - minor. Overcame my initial apprehension about the location and parking security due to the busy in/out as it proved unfounded.

From checking in to checking out this hotel was perfect! The gentleman on reception greeted us with a smiling face, after a very quick registration he insisted on carrying our bags to the room. The room was spacious, warm and comfortable. Our reserved parking was right outside of reception. The shop downstairs was excellent, it also had a fresh food section serving freshly made hot or cold sandwiches etc and as in the hotel the staff were excellent. The hotel is only a five minute walk to the town where there are many good restaurants and bars to choose from. We hope we have the pleasure of returning in the future.

Le Merceny Motel was a very happy surprise! The room, the smallest of all, was roomy and comfortable. The bathroom was large. There were two large windows that could be opened for fresh air all night. Breakfast included an extensive selection of fresh and well presented items. The hostess was absolutely charming! She was so friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Bastogne.

The room was very modern and spacious, and the bathroom was really good, modern, and with a great shower. The breakfast was good, and the staff were very helpful and cordial. It is above a petrol station, but there wasn´t a lot of noise in the room, and we could park just by the entrance to the hotel. And the shop at the petrol station had everything from hot and cold food, to drinks and fresh fruit and vegetables.

There only thing I can think of is that you have to go up a long flight of stairs to get to the room, we had two heavy bags, so it was a bit annoying, but a part from that, it is was all ok.

Great staff, really helpful with recommendations for town centre restaurants etc, great location - 500m from the town centre. Big room, very clean & superb heating and towel rail (very useful for wet bikers!). And parking is outside the motel door, in the petrol station forecourt! Great breakfast too! I would recommend this motel to other bikers & would definitely use again.

It's a budget hotel, so actually was above expectations, but is above a petrol station by a roundabout, so don't expect fancy! However it was dead quiet & felt very safe (I was with my 11 year old son, so wouldn't put this lightly).

Wow what a find. Don't let the fact that the motel is over a market and part of a gas station. This place is wonderful, quiet, comfortable, great shower, A/C works wonderful, Staff were very friendly and helpful. We bought the breakfast and it was great for $8.00, coffee juice, pastries, meat, eggs, all where great. Having the market down stairs actually helped and it had a lunch counter for sandwiches that where fabulous. 2 Minute drive to downtown or about a 10 minute walk, Parking was perfect in front of hotel right near doors, safe and lighted. Would highly recommend this place. Easy in and out with car and near the major road connections to Luxembourg or back to Brussels.

A hotel over a petrol station ? .In reality it works really well .The rooms are on an outside corridore overlooking but hidden from the forecourt . there is free parking infront of the 24hr , large and well used shop .Our motorbikes had a peacefull tamper free night .Breakfast is in the bakery sandwich part of the shop and reception is in the next room over . Its a really well thought out set up and we were very impressed with it .The rooms were very modern with plenty of space and comfy beds . The breakfast was the usual fayre , for dinner we ate out , in a restaurant overlooking the town square , which is only a 10 mins walk away . A great place to overnight or stay for a few days .

Just a few minutes walk from the Mcauliffe Square and Patton memorial.101st Airborne Museum,Bastogne War rooms and Barracks are easily accessible by walk.A half an hour walk will get you to the war museum and Mardasson memorial too.There is a Petrol station and convenient store right down stairs.The staff were really helpful in arranging a taxi for me.Clean and spacious room .I would recommend totally.

AC worked to perfection. Easy, free, and safe parking. Location. Covered area to enjoy a cigar. A big comfortable bed that didn't have a big split down in the middle like so many other places, and there lot's more to also like about this place.

Very very minor stuff: Neither the tissues or the soap got refilled before us. Telephone communication with staff in english wasn't happening.
