Staff is very nice, really very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is better than most central-European ones and it is served in an cosy lounge. Free parking right front of the hotel. Heating worked well.

Acoustic isolation inside is quite weak, particularly the noises from corridor can be easily heard. However, as it is quite small hotel, only a few people moving around, this is not a big problem. Also, as it is three star hotel, furnitures are quite rudimental. Again, as I was there for hiking, it was quite okay and fitting for my type of trip. Finally, there is somewhat busy road/street right under the windows, the noise could disturb someone. Calms down for the darkest part of the night though and windows have double glazing.

best location and views in La Roche.

I had stayed there 30 years before so was very nostalgic. I overlooked the fact that the hotel is in need of a great makeover etc but luckily the owner had kept a good number of rooms - possibly 10 - which could be occupied. all clean with amazing views. I would recommend people staying there as the location is amazing and the owner very helpful and offers a very varied breakfast.

The hotel has a very authentic feel. It is clean, easy to find and the host is lovely. We went there for a long weekend, he answered all questions we had, the room was exactly as promised on the photos. If you are looking for a place with a guaranteed great view from your windows I highly recommend. Breakfast was really nice and recommendations about the village were great.

The toilet was small.

The hotel is surprisingly charming, set on a hill overlooking the village with stunning views of the river and the mountains. Our bedroom was big and the twin beds were really confortable. Breakfast was served in a room packed with antiques giving the whole experience a special touch

You’ve got to stay here to believe the place like Aladdin’s cave like walking into antique warehouse hundred of items and oil paintings, the gentleman was kind enough to open the garage to put my motorcycle in , fantastic views with a tank outside awesome great breakfast as well ,would stay again

WE LOVED IT! This place feels like the best kind of time capsule, mixed with the coziness of a grandparents house. There was lots of personality here, and after staying in several modern hotels on our point-to-point trip, this was all our favorite. Breakfast was plentiful, and we loved the coffee containers on the table. We would happily stay here again!

Location is perfect. Excellent view over the river, and of the Chateau. Walking down to the city through the park and along or across the river. The host is very sympathetic and good provider of information about the geography and the history of the city. In particular WWII events.

Brilliant quirky hotel packed with history overlooking the River and Old Town. Fabulous breakfast. Very comfortable room. Great view. Very welcoming host. Garage for my motorcycle. Morning coffee outside in the sun.

Almost nothing.

If you see the outside you thingk it omg but if you enter the hotel it is really cosy. The breakfast is very good. The owner is very attentive full.

Room 45 was a double bed, we rolled over in our bed towards each other.

Located above the town, with a balcony giving views of the river and castle. Good breakfast included Hotel parking across the road

No a/c and on a main road, so some noise if the balcony door left open at night.
